I did my Biometrics today (6 days before the REAL appointment).

I tried the Walk-in and they told me that was everything ok!

I will update my timeline now!

Hey guys I have a question

My online status says that my case was transferred AGAIN but now to the National Benefits Center! Does this mean that after being transferred to California they send it to the National Benefits Center? Is this part of the process? I'm a bit confused....

I'm a bit confused, why would they transfer the same case twice to different locations? Has any of you experienced this too?

Do you think this means we will be called for an interview ?

I think that i have read somewhere that they somethimes send back file from CSC and u have interview but i cant remember where i have read that. Maybe somebody else know. But if CSC didnt send you RFE you shouldnt be worried.

That does seem really strange. Typically I think not being transferred means you will get an interview, but I don't know in your situation. I would keep checking online status every few days.

Try not to stress, it maybe nothing at all. No need to stress before you find out.

I've been doing some googling and it is very strange! Apparently cases are sent to the National Benefits Center and then to the California Center, not the other way around. Also, in some other posts it confirmed that the NBC only process EAD and AP.

I just hope it is not some sort of mistake on the USCIS that will end up messing up or delaying our case! I'll try not to stress about it, I just wonder if calling the customer number would help knowing why they do this...

Don't worry. Lots of cases have interviews and they go through just fine.

Our case hasn't been transferred and most likely won't and we aren't worried. We are expecting an interview. Just get as much evidence as you can and I believe there are sample questions on here.

Plus your EAD will arrive before the interview so at least you can look for a job.

I'm with Shelly on that one, I'd say most of the AOS applicants go through an interview and they come out fine. Gather everything you can get, and it will be alright. You know we're gonna be for you here every step of the way.

I'm just happy our case is being processed again!

Did you receive notification that they are processing your case again?

We sent in our RFE response a month ago and haven't heard anything since! I am starting to get worried....

We didn't receive anything in the mail. I registered on the USCIS website and put our case numbers in my portfolio. That's what it says for our 485. It has resumed processing and they received our response to the RFE.

I know not everyones case shows up online. Ours did, but we aren't processing from a K1. My husband is on an O1. I'm not sure if that even makes a difference with the online status.

Same here, it shows up online but nothing in the mail. I am adjusting from K1.

We have the online portfolio set up, but they haven't updated it since before they sent us the RFE. I just want to see something that acknowledges that they sent us an RFE and that we responded and the case processing is resumed.

So frustrating!

Don't worry. You'll be fine even if you guys will have to go to an interview. Just be prepared and get both of your names on your car titles, bank accounts, lease contracts etc.

I had my job interview today and it really looks good guys! I will know for sure tomorrow as they have to interview the other person tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping, because I really like this position and company. And the best is they would be willing to work with me if I have to wait some more for the EAD. Cross your fingers for me!

Kelah & Ramiro, you could try calling to see if the RFE was received. I've read other places that the online status is not always updated so it maybe processing fine, but for peace of mind I would probably call just to double check.

I had my biometrics appointment today. It's a good feeling to get it out the way. I haven't been able to see my case online but tonight when i checked, it was there!! so they must have put it up online after my biometrics? My receipt number for AP (I-131) still says the number doesn't exist online but am happy the I-765 and I-485 is finally up!
