i filed my paperwork in April also, my case is pending, im hoping to get news of my I765 soon, keeping my fingers crossed! Ive already done my fingerprints, had to re-submit my I864 because my husbands' income wasn't enough (his parents are now my joint sponsors), and thats where i am in the process!

I checked my USCIS status and here it is:

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On May 22, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

Sooo, it only took ONE DAY to get to you? That is so fast. With Monday being a holiday, I expect something in the mail on Tuesday or Wednesday, at least my AP, which has been sent out already. EAD says only card production ordered. :(

I don't have my EAD yet but I am looking for jobs. I think you can never start too early. I mention my AOS process and haven't eally had any negative responses to that.

Really? I lost a $80,000 job this morning because of that...I had been honest about it and the e-verified my employement eligibility, in the meantime the HR person that dealt with my case had changed and basically told me to piss off and that she would proceed with the next US citizen...

Really?? I am sorry. I guess this happened with a big company though? I always mention it in my cover letter and I talked to the guy during my first phone interview very frankly about it. I guess if they had a problem with it they wouldn't even invite me for another round. But maybe I am just lucky since the company is really small and one of the founders (and the one I talked to) is British himself and was in the same situation 2 years ago... I hope my EAD gets here soon!!! Fingers crossed.

(They wanted him to redo medical exam- they must've lost it. They also wanted a copy of our marriage certificate, even though we included that in our original submission.)

07/08/09- I-485 RFE response package delivered at CSC

07/10/09- I-485 Case Processing Resumed (CRIS email)

Yes, both wife and daughter, showed touches this morning, with the date of 25th showing on the portfolio.

Then I found two emails from CRIS in my mail box, with the info that the EAD were in production.

I-130 for CR-1/CR-2 Timeline:

Married in Guangzhou, China 12-2006.

05/03/07: I-130's for CR-1 and CR-2 mailed to CSC via USPS

06/23/07: NOA-1/I-797C's.

11/06/07: NOA-2’s were issued. CR-1/2 Abandoned, for K-3/4.

Congrats to everyone getting EAD and AP approvals!! Goodluck finding jobs.

I think the reaction you get applying for a job before the EAD depends on the company and if they have any employees that have done the visa process. My husbands industry (he's a video game designer) is rather small and they all move a ton so many many people have gone through the visa process and they tend to not care as much about the AOS being processed. I think other professions can hire anybody and right now there are a ton of people laid off so not having the EAD is just a quick no. So it will depend on what you are applying for.

We had an update, our case is once again being processed as of May 21st, they received our response to the RFE letter and we wait some more.

Meet on ICQ: 1999

Both move to CA: Sept. 2006

Jay proposed: Feb. 2007

Married: 07/11/2008
