I'm wondering how long before I can see the status of our case online. Do I need to keep trying the MSC# and eventually will it appear?????

Ours showed up the same day we did biometrics, it's depends I guess and you will use your MSC#...some people for some reason can never view their status on line. I didn't pay much attention to the online updates. My husband's EAD and AP just showed up in the mail...now his status online (even though we're approved and he has his green card) says "PENDING"....

So once you get the EAD you can start working without the Green Card?. Will that be enough proof you can work even if your I-94 is expired?.

11/1999 - We met in Ecuador

02/05/00 - Relationship started

09/08/06 - Engaged & Pregnant!

03/13/08 - I filed for Citizenship

07/22/08 - Became US Citizen

08/02/08 - I-129F sent

08/13/08 - Case received by VSC

08/16/08 - NOA1

08/18/08 - Touched

12/18/08 - Touched again exactly 4 mos. after 1st touch!

12/18/08 - Noa2 @ 3PM-Gracias Dios Mio!

12/24/08 - NVC sent pckg. 3 to Embassy

01/02/09 - Pckg 3 rcvd. by Embassy

01/09/09 - Pckg 3 from Embassy received by beneficiary

02/09/09 - Medical exam

02/16/09 - Sent back checklist and docs required by embassy.

05/07/09 - SS card in mail. "valid for work only with DHS authorization"

05/13/09 - Sent AOS paperwork.

06/16/09 - Biometrics Apptmt.

06/25/09 - EAD Card in mail!

06/26/09 - Letter saying case transfered to Cali.

08/08/09 - Residence Card in Mail! Yuuupiiiiiii.

THE END FOR 2 MORE YEARS.

Congrats on all the updates! Odd news, the EAD was approved yesterday, even through the card production order was given last week. All in all, still great news!

We did get the AP in the mail already. Wonder why they send 2 copies??

I tried to get mine in my new name 4 weeks after I arrived (2 weeks after we married) and although I had that page from the SSN guide on here printed out and with me, they said they need to check back with USCIS and "verify the documents". They told me it could take up to 6 weeks, then I should get something in the mail (approval or denial). I forgot about it for a while, and called the service center and they told me I have to come back with my EAD because my I-94 was about to expire. That was very frustrating, but whatever, now I got the EAD coming soon and I can get my number :)

Gotcha.... It's always something. Well your EAD will be coming shortly.
