GhanaMade88 do you have a drivers license with a photo?

Yes, as this is a DHLS Office, and because this is such an important security step in this process, they will require 'Real I.D.'

State DL. State ID card. Valid Passport with visa.

They looked closely at both my wife and daughter's PRC Passports with USA visa and I-94's.

IMHO, if you are going for a Biometric appointment, and do not have a valid photo ID, of the type specified by USCIS, they will not let you past the front counter.

Whenever the service center is open ;) Check out the hours at the USCIS website, or you might as well call and ask if they have specific walk-in days.

Ok. Thanks.

Does anyone know of any other documents besides the EAD that the CA DMV will accept for proof of legal status here? We are kind of stuck in limbo because he is here legally, but there is nothing to prove it, so the DMV won't issue my husband a driver's license. Anyone else have this experience?

I thought I spoke to this a couple of days ago, before it was diluted by those who do not live in California.

California DMV will accept proof of 'Legal Presence'. This can be your valid passport, with a valid USA visa attached, along with a valid I-94 stapled to the passport page. This is all they will need until you have your SSN or GC. :)
