I never thought it would be something to do with our tax papers. We only included 2008, because we exceeded the poverty line and we filed together in 2008. I guess it really good be anything for the RFE.

Congrats Ghana! Now you just keep waiting.

Hope the RFE will be something very minor and you will be able to send it back to them straight away

Thanks be to the living God, i finally received my noaaa :dance::dance::dance: no rejection

yay!! congratulations!! :star:

Jason&Sarah: congrats on the baby and that your form has been transferred! :) your baby and Rob&Dawns are due only a week apart from each other! how lovely!! :)

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms around here (F)

A friend of mine, who filed in March, she's not on VJ, just got a RFE for her medical yesterday. She was transferred to Cali already, and last Monday she received her EAD. She had her medical for the K1 in November or December 2008, so it's not expired yet, and she had the vaccinations transcribed onto the I-693 at a local doctor. Did they lose her medical????

Happy Mom's Day!

I don't think so. From what I know the letter just said that she has to submit a full medical. I guess something must have happened to her medical at the airport, she had the sealed letter from the embassy, gave it to the officer, maybe it never made it's way back to USCIS.

It's so unfair that we just paid so much money for a full medical in our home country, and now she has to do a new one just because THEY lost it.

This is more common than many may think. If this indeed is the case, either the Consulate or Embassy did not include the medical file within the large brown envelope which we all dropped off at our POE, upon entry of our spouse/fiancee; or it was lost during the transfer from the POE office, to the NBC, where it is supposed to be merged with the I-485 package.

I belong to another forum, specific to my wife's country of origin, and this is often discussed and several members there, have had RFE's over the past year, for this very thing.

Best bet, don't waste time and argue, just go get a new med, and/or whatever they need and return it promptly. All of these cases I have seen, move forward quickly once the requested info is supplied.

Oh really? I'll let her know, but I kinda doubt she wants to go through the hassle of contacting a senator. It's good to hear somebody was successful with that though. Thank you :)

Did they not give you a copy of the medical report? One sealed and one for your records? Jay had his medical done here, but they gave him a copy that way if the USCIS loses the sealed envelope you can come back into the office with your other copy and they can reissue a sealed report. A pain yes, but better than paying for a new medical.

Is there any way you can get in touch with the doctor that did it before you have another done?

I didn't get a copy of my report in fact I haven"t even seen it besides the vaccination worksheet that they gave me. Oh well, if you get and RFE you just have to do it. I mean, what is the alternative? Stopping the whole AOS process and losing $1010? I don"t even want to start thinking about what I have already spent in this whole visa and AOS process.... I could be rich by now. :bonk:
