Hey guys, how did you keep checking into your case status? The USCIS website doesn't recognize the MSC receipt numbers!? Argh.

I called the USCIS number last week and asked about the MSC numbers for I-485, not being visible yet in the online portfolio.

The woman could not answer my question and forwarded my call to the next level in SoCal. I talked to an actual officer, who pulled up my file and said not to worry, they were having problems with the online system, with respect to prompt updating, and that I should just check from time to time, to see if the issue was resolved.

This is very typical now, with all those I communicate with, to not have the I-485 info available on line, until much later in the process.

However, the I-765 info for my wife and daughter, have been available online, for over three weeks now.

I've read on other threads that for some people their case status never appears online, but everything goes through fine. So there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to why some people can see it and some can't.

Ours does show online, but it just says it was received on April 13. No updates yet. And no transfer letter yet either.

So we keep waiting!

Shelly :)

Accompied my husband to his Biometrics appointment today. It took us about 20 minutes. First fill out an application form (we didn't bring his SSN card... I told him he needs to memorize his numbers, grr). And then he had to sit for a few minutes to be called into an office, to verfiy and ask him the same questions asked on the application form. Then fingerprinted and photographed.

Was generally easy.

Congrats Krissy! Hopefully you have updates soon, it's difficult to keep waiting and waiting and then wait some more!

I did my biometrics today, too, and it was so easy. Walked in, showed my appointment letter, passport and marriage certificate to the guard, she gave me a form to fill in, we sat down and I filled it out, then gave it to the receptionist. We sat down and waited to be called, waited like 15 minutes, then fingerprinting and taking a picture. So easy and we were out after 30 minutes.

Now we're home and I got 3 CRIS emails in in my inbox. First one saying the AOS is now pending, second one saying it has been transferred (which I already knew) and third one saying it's pending at the office it has been transferred to. What to make of that?

Hi guys! i did my biometrics today. Appointment was at 8am and we were there 5 min b4 7 so of course we waited for an hour. Exactly 8 they let us in. There was like 20 to 25 people were there. It was pretty fast though, like 15 mins. All went well, now hoping and praying for a smooth process and interview date. B)

I have one concern though. Does having health insurance "sponsored" by the state can make an issue with the immigration process? If i have that kind of medical insurance, would it mean Im violating one very big concern by the Dept of Immigration that one should NOT be a public charge?

Pls enlighten. Thanks!

Congrats to all the Biometrics do-ers :D and Transfers!!:thumbs:

Thanks :)

Now I should sign up for automatic updates via CRIS, to see if it has been transferred or not :P

Chibby: I tried to update the spreadsheet, but I couldn't save it... (saw you were on "viewing" it).

You don't have to do anything but fill in your dates and then close the tab/window. It saves automatically. The changes are visible after a few minutes

Congrats Chibby! It must be good all mine says is everythings been received.

Umm I was thinking maybe so many K1's are transferred because the fiances already had an interview in their home country and we also submitted evidence of an existing relationship. People adjusting from work/visitor/student/whatever visa never had to prove a bona fide relationship, so I imagine them having an interview to show the proof since it doesn't have to be submitted with the AOS. Nonetheless I'm still crossing my fingers for you :)

Oh wow, CRIS sends out emails? I subscribed for the updates too but never got an email... Should I be surprised ;)

Yea, I was surprised myself, never got an email before, not even while going through the K1. At first I thought it's an RFE or something, because I already got the transfer notice last Monday.

I don"t know of anyone yet who was refused when he/she went earlier to their biometrics appointment. Marco is the only one I believe where I have read that they even realized it. Maybe they will start realizing it now though when all of a sudden tons of people go earlier and not as schedule ;)

If you live far away I would personally stick to the original date or reschedule. But that's my personal risk aversion. Lol.

Yeah, I'm like that too! I decided to go on the original date, I'll let you guys know of my adventure driving to Milwaukee! ;)
