Plans changed my man will not be able to pick me up :( . He can not be off of work.... c'mon DHS for just a few days give my fiance days off to pick me up! Anyway, anyone knows where we could get direct flight to Detroit?

I know i asked about cheap tix the last time... i going nuts

Thank you.

Yeah, I've never found a direct flight to Detroit either...I've been to philippines 3 times and each time had a layover in Japan before going to Detroit and on to pensacola...but like damulag said before, dont worry..the layover usually isn't very long..Not like the one my baby and I will have on April 10 in Guam, (7hrs and 30 mins(manila, tokyo,Guam,Texas,Pensacola) I'm going March 30th to pick her up after 1 year and 3 months of being without her and i don't care how long the flights or layovers are, as long as we we'll be together ,just remember when your done with all the long boring traveling you'll have to do,you'll be in your loves arms forever. :D

thanks! i going nuts cause i just can't wait to be in his arms. i so hate DHS for now for not letting him have days off from work to pick me up.

No direct flight from MNL to DTW as the plane does need to refuel and even if you don't change planes (no connection, etc), you still need to get off the plane for at least 30mins for refueling and technical checks.

How about these...

> Manila - Tokyo - Seattle - Detroit > Northwest Airlines > $1005. > Total travel time = 23 hours 42 minutes.

> Manila - Tokyo - Atlanta - Detroit > Northwest Airlines > $984. > Total travel time = 22 hours 10 minutes.

Got that HappyDancer. And Tahoma thanks for searching the prices. My fiance already got a direct flight from Manila to Detroit. Like HappyDancer said plane would refuel, probably in Japan.

Thank you all! :)

Northwest Airlines has a flight (NW72) departing Manila each morning at 6:30am. It stops in Nagoya, Japan. Everyone has to get off the plane, go through security again, then get back on the plane. It's stupid, but a minor hassle.

I just took this flight last week with my fiancé, and it was a good way to go. The POE at Detroit was quick and painless also.

Look on Northwest's web site for more details and booking. If you get a one way, you will have to pay the P1,620 "travel tax" at NAIA before going to the ticket counter.

PM me if you want more help or info.

Good luck & Ingats!
