(I personally didnt feel like tons of emails, photos and phone bills proved anything
Maybe not at the USCIS stage, but perhaps (or definitely) at the consular stage. Filers have discovered that evidence brought to their consular interview has been refused, and they have been issued 221(g) forms for "not enough evidence of relationship." Had more evidence been included in the USCIS filing, the consulate could not deny its existence.

We did include "evidence", was it necessary for the uscis approval? no. but it will give the consulate a chance to view all of that "front loaded" eveidence before the interview even takes place. There have been some vj'ers that said its recomended to do just that for their particular consulate because of what you mentioned above.

I agree Y'habibitk! And isn't it best to keep collecting new evidence of a on going marriage, emails, cards, etc to present to interview? That is what Im doing cause to me evidence before filing is fine, its also what is going on during the process with USCIS, NVC and etc. before the interview. to show a bona fide marriage with communication, Right? They will also want to see that too at interview.

totally paris..when i sent all of our evidence to my husband for his upcoming interview the package weighted a ton! LOL

a years worth of daily contact is heavy once you print it all out :P

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Tell you one thing Y'habibitk, my envelope to USCIS was about 3 inches thick, No kidding, lots to prove especially as you know with my past cases of last years filing. To me the more evidence the better !!!!! And still bring additional to interview.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

As you have mentioned, you are just LUCKY....

I am sure that there were lots of people in here who sent their papers in a well organized manner. It is just that they are NOT LUCKY as you are.. Or shall we say, they are JUST LUCKY to be stuck in a service center which works slower than the other one..

Anyway, I know that what you posted could help some new filers.. Perhaps, it would help USCIS workers to check the documents faster but the dates when to check it would be on the hands of the service center workers. The quality of papers and how you arranged them would matter but IT IS NOT AN ASSURANCE THAT YOU COULD GET A QUICK APPROVAL.. It all depends on LUCK..

Peace.. :star:

Candid Witch,

Thanks for your reply, Again, the post was noted TIPS, Im not assuring anything. Im just making a note that you do not have to send in mountains of paper to get approved and quickly. My personal experience.

To those of you that are still waiting ( Im praying for you!.)

For those that have waited. Be glad its over............

God Bless.........................................................Have a great day everyone!

Yeah.. It should be TIPS on what to send and organizing I-130 package.. Not TIPS for QUICK APPROVAL..

May your NVC journey be fast and smooth.. Goodluck..

God Bless everyone!

i've seen your timeline and your NVC process is kinda fast.. I am still waiting for the email of NVC regarding the DS3032.. but i already submitted them my DS3032 even without their instruction.. Is that ok? i can't wait to do these things.. hehe

I started e-mailing NVC regarding DS3032 as soon as I received our case number.. :P I used 3 e-mail addresses and I sent it 3-5 times per add.. Worst case? They would just delete what you sent but keep on trying until they accept it. :innocent:

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

Sent I-130 March 3, 2009, NOA1 March 11, 2009, NOA2 March 24, 2009, 8:30pm by email.

OK! To all of you that are wondering what I did. Well, by no stretch of the imagination am I an expert, I was just lucky.

I. I do not have a lawyer

II. I included in my packet the least amount of ####### and included all pertinent information to prove that I have a relationship/communication with my loved one.

(e.g, I personally didnt feel like tons of emails, photos and phone bills proved anything, all they do is cause the processor confusion while trying to view pertinent information.)

III.

1. I included a cover letter, that I received off VJ (Thank You!). ( Once complete, I had a notary check over all my docs and had the notary sign off on my cover letter to make it an official document.

2. I included two photos printed on regular paper, so the photos were the same size as the other documents (both photos were on one sheet of paper). One wedding photo and one additional photo.

3. I included all pertinet information about myself (Copy of my Birth Certificate and all pages of my Passport,) To prove I have been to Jamaica several times and I am a US Citizen. ( No need for Airline receipts and misc receipts)

4. I included all pertinent information about my husband (Copy of Birth Certificate and all pages of Passport).

5. Copy of Official Marriage Certificate

6. I-130 Form Completed

7. G-325a plus photos for the both of us. I put the photos in a plastic bag and attached each one individually to the G-325a with a paper clip. Note: the USCIS WEBSITE says to not use ACCO Clips. I made sure to write in pencil not pen.

8. Finally, I signed all documents in BLUE INK, so that it ensured my documnts were oringinals and not copies

I hope I included everything.

May god bless all of you. Remember in times like this, save yourself some money, less is better, QUALITY not Quantity!

Im on to NVC.............................................................................

..........................................................................

Hello,

I am so very glad that this worked out for you. Just know that there are many of us who did just the same as you

but it took a very long time, Yes you were so very lucky. It took us a long time.

But we are at NVC now and getting things done.

This is good and I am sure will help others.

Good Luck and I hope you are with your love one soon

Hey guys, The time lines at USCIS are so unpredictable, when my husband and i sent out the I130 and I129 our lawyer told us it takes anywhere from 3 - 18 months. Our I130 was approved 301 days later, the I129 is still pending but we no longer care abt it. Its been 2 weeks already and there is no case number from NVC, I dont even know how we'll know NVC has the file. On the approval letter they said they'll contact the beneficiary, me, within 90 days.

The waiting is difficult, hope the tips from ToAliwithLove help someone out there, personally, i think it was just luck.

I left my husband a 3 inch binder with tab dividers that was filled with evidence.

Immigration seems to be luck of the drawl these days.

No ACCO clips???

WHAT?

I read over and over again that the documents had to be organized in a legal document format -- two hole punch, ACCO clips!

Good god.

This isn't going to be a cause for them to get all annoyed and pissy, is it?

I wish there was a concise list somewhere that had a certain list of DO NOTs.

Anyway...

Dont worry so much about it, neat and orderly is what anyone would want. Quick approval is just plain luck!!! As long as everythng is there USCIS requires, all forms complete, orderly, pics in little baggies, proof in a orderly marked fashion, a process will come when USCIS get to it. No certain order of approvals, its whatever they pile on the desk for the day. Just like anyother job, get it done no matter how messy or neat. Pure luck.

Yes, no ACCO clips. I dont know how they would react, but I dont think it should matter if all the required documentation is included in yuor packet. Yes, Aalist of "do nots" would be a great idea.
