awwwwwwww I want snow. It never snows here in Sydney. I loved it when I was in NY state last Feb.....was so pretty with all the snow and the icicles hanging off the rooves. I stood out and danced in the snow, was like a big kid.......I had never seen snow till I went to the US. Damm cold though

I think my hubby was driving that truck! :D

Well WE are getting SLAMMED by snow now, let me tell you....there's at least 7 or 8 inches out there now.

I sneaked outside onto the back stoop and snapped a few...lol.

This is what's accumulated on top of the container we keep bird seed in...

And this is looking out my back door...

And this is looking at my van and hubby's pick-up. He's covered it with a plastic tarp so that when he has to leave at 4:45 tomorrow morning he doesn't have to clean it all off.

We got snowwwwwwwwwww! hehe Damn...did we ever. The weathermen were right, they said we'd get upwards of a foot of the white stuff and that's what it looks like. And it's STILL snowing too!

I opened my back door and snapped this pic of my van a few minutes ago but I'll take better pics when I go to check on and feed the cows in about 20 minutes. Everything looks soooooooo pretty here in the mountains. :luv:

Good morning. Bit of snow here in Arlington VA. i imagine the ambulances and tow trucks will have a busy day as most motorists wil not adapt to the icy road conditions!! Not that cold here, about 30 F. Cheers Scott

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I love the trees in your pics Scott, they look so heavy with snow...well, they are of course haha but they look really pretty. I notice that your time-stamp on your digital camera is still in "Canadian mode" hehe ie: 12/02/06 rather than 02/12/06. :D That's ok, can you make out the sticker that's show in the pic below of my van heavy with snow, too? ;)

1000437r3ay.jpg

This is looking down our driveway this morning. You can definitely see the diff compared to pics I took in the same place yesterday. Ohhh what funnnnn trudging uphill a half-mile in this earlier this morning hahaha :crying: Oh hell it was good exercise, right?

1000434r0hf.jpg

As you can see, the cows aren't bothered much by the weather. They are wearing leather coats, after all! :P

1000419r2qv.jpg

And last but not least, this is our humble abode.

I'll take more scenery pics of the mountains once the snow stops, it's still too blustery outside to see anything very clearly.

Hope I'm not boring y'all! haha Too bad if I am, eh?
