How important are passport stamps? And evidence

Me and my fiancee are collecting evidence, as she makes trips here(Canada) to visit, while we wait for her divorce to be finalized. Shes been here twice, first time drove did not need passport at the time, and other then a few pictures from that trip, there is nothing to prove she was here. Not worried tho we were not engaged at that point.

On her second trip, she flew but they did not stamp her passport on her way here, or on the way back. We have everything else, ticket stubs, boarding passes for both flights, and the ticket thing they put on your baggage, so they know what flight to put it on after its checked in.

Aside from this we have phone bills, Chat logs and emails, letters cards etc. SO this brings me to my two questions.

#1 Is this the right kind of evidence to collect??..are we on the right track?

#2 Will the lack of passport stamps be an issue even if we have ticket stubs, boarding passes etc?

Thanks in advance

1) Yes, you are on track. Boarding passes are great. ATM receipts/Credit Card statements are also good primary evidence to prove that you were in the same place at the same time. The photos you have taken together are secondary evidence and should also be included with your petition with a caption as to when and where they were taken.

The rest of your evidence (phone bills, chat logs, etc) are useful for evidence of an ongoing relationship. This evidence is not required for the petition, but will be needed for the interview. You can send samples of this evidence with your petition if you wish.

2) Passport stamps are not required by any means - they are just a very common form of primary evidence. Since you have another form of primary evidence, and the USCIS adjudicator will likely be aware that U.S./Canada customs officers do not normally stamp passports, it should not be an issue.

I never sent in copies of my passport stamps because they werent legible, so no worries. Yes, everything you listed sounds adequate!

Sweet, Thanks for the quick answers. Finally I think i'm starting to understand all of this. When we first starting looking up way to get me into the states, it seemed impossible, overwhelming ETC....when in reality it's a very simple process. The amount of waiting tho, Is a pain. We have to wait an extra 6 months, due to Oklahoma divorce laws befor we can file...I think, time for another topic

phone bills, chat logs and e-mails do not prove a face to face meeting... so this evidence is not needed for the USCIS but can be saved for later use at the consulate

YMMV
