Wow Leedah I felt giddy myself reading your post! CONGRATULATIONS!

You can now live your life and have some sense of freedom, I cannot imagine the relief you feel in your soul knowing you can leave together as a couple. I am so happy for you. I feel great hope for my own as well, every time someone is approved you know that seeing that couples perseverence that goodness prevails and that good things come to those who wait. Enjoy every minute girl!

I wonder too how these husbands/fiance's SO's adjust to the overnight decision that they're leaving behind everything they know to be a day to day husband in a place where everything is so completely different. I think we can all say how brave that is! May you be guided and given great love as you anticipate the days ahead, your wedding, your life, everything!

ENJOY!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Guess what. He got the visa! We go back to pick up his passport tomorrow.

It was amazing. We went to the interview and my husband answered the same questions while standing at one of the windows.

Then I came up and talked with the man. He let me go print out my annuity info and bring it back for the support requirements.

Then my husband was given that green slip of paper and told to pick up his passport tomorrow.

Thank you for all the prayers.

Now my husband is out getting us dinner while I lay up in this hotel room and pretend I'm the queen of Sheba.

It's funny but my husband is now all hyped up and talking about how he's gonna give me a big "real" wedding and how he's going to "prove my family wrong". (They used to tell him that he was just using me since he didn't have any money to do the normal things as husband and wife. Gambia is a VERY poor country, but they were relentless is digging in to him.)

I keep telling him not to concern himself with that drama and to focus on getting TO the u.s. first.

But, it's too funny to me. We were on the way out of the hotel to go to the interview today. I looked and didn't see his backpack. I asked, "hon, where's your stuff?"He say's "In the room". I'm thinking to myself, "wow, he's not even thinking to bring his passport". lol..

But we got everything squared away.

Now he is getting scared to leave his world for the "big city". hahaha. He isn't saying anything, but I can see he's scared of the unknown. Poor man. lol

Leedah

Wow. Congratulations! This is so wonderful to hear.

I wish you all the love, health and happiness your heart and soul can hold.
