hello our case was recieved on 3-12-09 and it hasnt been touched yet. how long does it usually take for them to touch it and is it a good sign or a bad sign that they havent touched it yet? what does it mean when they touch it? thanks

interview date- 11/06/2009

visa approved! 11/17/2009.. pheww!!

received passport-11/20/2009

entered in US- 12/14/2009

POE- New york

welcome received- 02/01/2010

green card received- 02/08/2010

removal of condition-12/15/2011

ROC package sent to CSC- 09/21/2011

touch means exactly that, that someone took your file and did something either moved it or opened it. In regards to it being good or bad, not all petitions are touched. I sent mine in January and just received my NOA2 with no touches at all.

USCIS

1/04/2009 - Married my other half

1/16/2009 - Mailed I130

1/27/2009 - NOA1

3/22/2009 - NOA2

NVC

3/31/2009 - NVC # Assigned

4/01/2009 - Called NVC and provided e-mail to representative

4/06/2009 - DS3032 and AOS Fee Generated

4/06/2009 - Emailed DS3032 from SO's e-mail account and paid AOS fee

4/07/2009 - AOS online receipt marked as paid, mailed out I864EZ

4/13/2009 - AOS Documents received and bieng reviewed

4/17/2009 - DS3032 Choice of Agent e-mail accepted

4/17/2009 - IV Bill generated and paid

4/19/2009 - IV Bill Marked Paid

4/20/2009 - Overnight DS230

4/23/2009 - DS230 Received and entered into the system, Review begins

5/01/2009 - CASE COMPLETE

8/18/2009 - Interview - Placed on AP 221(g)

I just got home today. My online file still says the same thing it did from day one. many people have it that way check it out here you may be one of them too and then one day a nice envelope just showes up in your mailbox saying Approval Notice.

USCIS

12/03/2008...Sent I-130 form

12/04/2008...Papers reached Chicago LockBox (1Day)

12/11/2008...NOA1 (7days)

12/22/2008...NOA1 hard copy received (11 days ~ Heavy Snowfall Delayed Mail)

03/14/2009...NOA2 (92 days from NOA1)

03/24/2009...NOA2 Hard copy received (No touches or web approval)

NVC

04/06/2009...Received by NVC (23 days from NOA2)
