If you have proof (ie police reports/photos/witnesses) then you can show just cause for the VAWA.

Year long to wait? I would be calling to find out the status of it.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Hi,

I filed a I360 VAWA february 2008 and I did not get no answer yet... My lawyer told me that the process filed by men is hard to be approved by immigration.

anyone know something about this ???

Hi bobby,

I have police report, medical record, psycologist record...

She cut my finger with a knife and I get 16 stechers but I did not called the police...

the last day of are marriege she came home and took averything...I called the police and she was arrested ...

I called the police 4 times beacouse she was out of control ...

all this police reports can help me ?

Yes, you need the police reports and any photos of the injury, including any medical report. But you should call and check on the status of your case anyway. Your lawyer advised you so perhaps the lawyer should follow up. It is more customary for a woman to file...but men also qualify.

I filed in November 2007 and i still havent gotten a final decision yet

Well I don't know what is your Lawyer talking about! it's all depend what is your situation/case and how strong it's. There is no sex discrimination to file VAWA. I also heard/read about men filed cases and some of them got approved, and again it's various case to case. Have you got your Prima Facie yet? If anything changes in your case keep us posted, good luck.

05/06/2013 - Received NOA's for all three forms; all dated 05/01/2013

05/10/2013 - Received Biometrics appointment for 06/03/2013

05/22/2013 - Biometrics taken walk-in

05/21/2013 - Request for evidence (supporting docs for I-864, obtained a joint sponsor)

06/12/2013 - Response to request for evidence received

06/19/2013 - I-485 Case Status updated to Testing & Interview

06/26/2013 - Received an e-mail AOS interview date is 07/29/2013

06/28/2013 - NOA for interview date and time received in mail

07/29/2013 - ***I-485 INTERVIEW*** @12:15

08/05/2013- EAD Received
