so i was just wondering... have someone in this forum ever been denied a k1 visa?

have ever been a case where the petitioner has everything ok and they still deny it, what would be the reasons?

oh, everyone wish me luck, my interview will be this next tuesday....

There have been many unsuccessful interviews. Read through VJ to see all the various reasons.

Many of the unsuccessful interviews ultimately yield visas after the deficiencies are met by the petitioner and/or beneficiary.

Read through the guides here on VJ and double check all of your information. Read through the Regional forum to get input about the Bogota Embassy.

Top of my head - top 7 reasons for denial

1. Lack of meeting within 2 years of applying for the petition.

2. Lack of a bonafide relationship

3. Lack of income (poverty level)

4. Lack of divorce papers/finalize divorce

5. Caught lying on forms. (forged signatures, mismatched data)

6. Fell under the adam walsh act

7. Fell under the IMBRA.

Just be thankful that you're dealing with Bogota and not Guayaquil, "next door." Read some of the Guayaquil threads for the tip of that iceberg.
