Thanks.. what is AP? I do not know any of your other abbreviation meanings either.

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Acronym_Summary

you have a profile over 2 years old. you should have used that 2 years to look around and learn.

Caybee - I totally remember that episode too! Someone was stationed in Greenland??? They had the proxy wedding in the family's living room.... I feel old.

That's it. Richie married Lori Beth by proxy -- I think the Fonz stood in for Richie. Ack, I didn't even look that up.

Well everybody he's talked to in Egypt, even and attorney says proxy marriage is the fastest and best way.

Have you met in person yet? If not, as M4E said, Your petition won't make it past USCIS.

But that meeting in person is for fiancee visa, right? This would be spousal visa.

A proxy marriage would have to be consummated in order to be recognized by immigration law here, which necessitates meeting in person.

unless, of course, he could fedex it to her.

you know? I was wondering that myself charles. the OP has previous threads in which she claims the visa was approved. So this is either a different petition or wth. I am confused. But entertained.

She was approved for a Moroccan fiance. He didn't go to the interview, never got the visa. This is a new Egyptian beneficiary.

Excuse me, Dreamscometrue, I'm not trying to be a b!tch here - although it may come off that way...why the hell would you want to marry someone without meeting them? Are you out of your cotton pickin' mind??? You believe him to be like the big JC - perfect in every way that he can walk on water...are you nuts???!!! You're just going to have to do this visa process like the rest of us and wait it out...ain't no way around it. I am grateful that USCIS/DOS doesn't permit this relationship to exist - with your luck, as it sounds like he's playing the ####### out of you, he'd get his visa, walk off the plane and probably not into your arms and yet you'd be on the hook for him for 10 years.

Ok so yeah but then you could get a visitor's visa faster so you could consumate it?

I'm just curious too now...why do you want to do everything BUT meet in person, get married, and follow the normal routine everyone follows? You want to get a visitor visa, have sexual relations, and then apply for a spouse visa? You still need to get married, THEN have your marriage consumated. Not really the other way around  Why are you so against doing it the easy straight forward way?

I asked innocent questions to help the OP and got the rudest brush off ever so let the OP stew while trying to figure out the timeline.
