Missed biometrics appointment

Hi all

Sorry for the cross posting, I just realised this is where I should be...

We live in the middle of nowhere and post takes days to arrive if at all. By the time we received our biometrics appointment, the date had passed as the letter was mailed 9 days before the appointmetn and then there was a holiday and weekend...! We immediately wrote to them explaining the situation, telling them we hadn't abandoned the application and asked for a new time and overnighted it on the 8th June but we have heard nothing since. We asked them to email or telephone. Has anyone else missed their appointment? Is there anything else we can do? My mailman is tired of being mugged for the post every morning...

Paula

Check on my signature the "Biometrics letter" pic, and read where it says: REQUEST FOR RESCHEDULING.

You will be fine... Check your appointment letter also!

Thanks! Hmm, seems like the letter is different for different centres - mine says "Please reschedule my appointment for the next available Wenesady/Saturday afternoon" blah blah. "Upon receipt of your request you will be provided a new appointment notice". Still waiting... hoping the letter isn't going via Vancouver, Texas and Baltimore...

Be careful with that... biometrics letters differentiate. Mine didnt say I could go the following wednesdays... i had to check a box for a saturday or a wednesday and mail that back to the USCIS..
