It appears that there is a new form available for DS230

OMB APPROVAL NO. 1405-0015

EXPIRES: 02/29/2012

02-2009

AND States Previous Editions Obsolete

If anyone has filled the older form, it might not go through... Any one knows more about this... ?

Service Center : Vermont Service Center

2008-08-07 : I-130 Sent

2008-08-16 : Recieved NOA1 Hard Copy

2008-08-19 : I-129 Sent

2008-08-27 : NOA1 Approved -I-129F

2009-02-12 : RFE Email

2009-02-17 : RFE mail Rcvd

2009-02-20 : Traveled 2 India to correct the RFE issue

2009-03-02 : Mailed the corrected RFE Docs to USCIS

2009-03-04 : Received confirmation via email from USCIS that they received the RFE documents. CASE RESUMED

2009-04-02 : NOA2 Approved for I-129F and I-130 via email

2009-04-08 : NOA2 Arrives in mail for I-129F and I-130

2009-04-11 : Received letter from NVC stating I-129F case has been forwarded to EMBASSY for processing.

NVC Journey

2009-04-15 : Case Number Assigned - Received this by speaking to a live operator. NVC automated message was not updated-it said "NO CASE# Assigned"

2009-04-17 : DS-3032 sent (by e-mail)

2009-04-20 : DS-3032 and AOS bill generated

2009-04-20 : DS-3032 sent (by e-mail) again after receiving the email for DS-3032 and AOS bill generated

2009-04-20 : AOS PAID (online)

2009-04-23 : AOS package sent to NVC

2009-04-24 : DS-3032 Choice of Agent accepted - Beneficiary received email - ACCEPTED one was 4/17/2009 email

2009-04-24 : IV Fee bill generated

2009-04-24 : IV bill PAID - showed PAID ON- 04/25/2009 and printed coversheet

2009-04-25 : DS-230 sent to NVC

2009-05-07 : case complete at NVC

Embassy Journey

2009-05-13 : Forward the case to Embassy in Chennai, India

2009-06-18 : Medical

2009-06-26 : Visa Interview

2009-06-26 : Visa Approved

2009-06-29 : Visa in Hand

2009-07-02 : POE - (JFK, New York)

I used new version of DS-230.

There are some changes on new DS-230 form like in question # 20 and 22, you can type “Present” now and there are some changes in question #33a.

*IR-1 Visa* VSC

I-130 (IR-1):

07/22/2008: NOA1

02/17/2009: I-130 NOA2: Approved in 210 days from NOA1 date

I-129F (K-3):

08/11/2008: NOA1

02/17/2009: I-129F NOA2: Approved in 190 days from NOA1 date

<not pursuing I-129F petition further but NVC forwarded case to Consulate on 02/24/2009>

NVC Journey:

02/19/2009: NVC Received/Case number assigned for I-130

02/20/2009: DS-3032 sent by e-mail and 03/04/2009: DS-3032 sent by regular mail

02/26/2009: NVC received DS-3032 Choice of Agent selection

02/26/2009: DS-3032 accepted and AOS Bill Generated but not IV Bill

02/28/2009: AOS Bill Package received in mail

02/28/2009: Paid AOS Bill and IV Bill (as it was available) online

03/03/2009: Both AOS and IV Bill Show as Paid and Coversheet Printed

03/04/2009: Mailed I-864 and IV (DS-230) Packages

03/06/2009: I-864 and IV Packages Received by NVC and Scanned on 03/10/2009

The new form was put out to address the things that I Miss Her mentions above. If you have already submitted the older form it should not be an issue. If you are just submitting the form, probably better to go with the newer version.

Now I need hubby to sign a update version, UGH!!!!! and its already in the mail to him.

yeah ,and because of that I got an RFE on qs # 20.I m hating NVC.In older form in qs 20 there is no word PRESENT (from dd/yyyy to dd/yyyyy),and now they changed it and sending RFE`s to everybody who used that form.
