I had my medical appointment in Toronto this morning.

As I read it was already getting busy by 7a-730am, I was there a 620am and believe it or not, I was second in line! Someone was there before!!!

Someone let us enter at 630am and the first nurses arrived at 635am and took our letter with case number. I got called by a nurse for the paperwork at 650am, she took my passport, pictures, $275, check I had my immunization record and sent me to the X-ray room.

X-ray was at 705am and I was done at 710. The Dr. told me the X-ray came out fine so I could move to the next room.

I was then sent to a room for a medical check. At 720am another Dr. arrived, took my blood pressure and pulse. Then said another Dr. would come soon. (How many Dr. do they have there??) A nurse came to tell to complety undress and that the Dr. would be here shortly.

At 730am, the Dr. arrived, asked a few questions about health and stuff, checked my immunization records and compared (mine is from France so I had translations), then he told I should get the Gardasil shots since I am still 26. He said it wasn't mandatory but if Montreal sees I didn't have the vaccin and/or refused to have it done (because you can refuse), they might delay my visa until I get it and maybe even refuse my visa. He said they only need to have the record for the first shot and they'll release my papers. He wrote me a paper to give to a clinic.

After that, another nurse came in, checked some "body part stuff" and that was it. Final work: blood test, two big tubes and I was done.

I was waiting outside at 620am, entered at 645am and was done at 8am!!

They sent me to a walk-in clinic on Bay street to get the Gardasil. After almost 2 long hours waiting there, it was my turn and the Dr. said that they would do it but they didn't have the vaccin here. He wrote me a prescription, I went to the closest pharmacy, got the first shot of Gardasil for the modest sum of $180, returned to the clinic, got the vaccin and that was it. The clinic faxed the confirmation to the Dr. Seiden's office. It was then 1030am.

I will pick up the results on Thursday.

Total spending today : $275 + $180 and I have 2 more shots to go... (I don't know if I'll do them though...)

Now I'm waiting for the Dr. Seiden's office to call me back to confirm receipt of the shot.

I will go check with my company if I can get it reimbursed!!

I'm glad the medical is done. But go early and you'll leave early!!

I don't think I'll do the other shots. Doesn't look like the best vaccin ever.
