Ha, when I first applied one of my biggest worries was receiving an email like the one I just got...

The VSC has notified me that my RFE is on its way!

*crosses fingers that it's only IMBRA and nothing else wrong with the petition!*

 <----------- me, doing my "RFE Dance"

I am not a practicing attorney. I have a law degree and I passed the bar exam, but am not admitted to practice because I got a job in legal publishing and haven't gotten around to applying for my license yet. Publishing is great, but it does not make you qualified to give legal advice. So I don't. I just want to get married to my fella, which is why I'm here! If you need legal help, seek the advice of a licensed attorney.

CSC will be sending them out also. I just got an email from my Senator saying they are on the way!!!!!

There was conflicting information on the K-1 page on this issue. Some said releasing RFE's by Friday, others said soon...Soon? What is that?

I however, will side with the positive information! I am looking forward to an RFE in the box any day now.

With all due respect to the VSC folks, I have waited much longer than most of them have. As a matter of fact, there are several people from January in the CSC pipeline. Don't you think they should get the RFE in front of those who have a May or June NOA1?

That is my chief complaint. Has anyone ever heard of a queue? Well, at least someone is getting serviced. That is positive news.

It's not fair, but you can't blame it on us, and we can't help but be happy about our cases.

I can accept that. This is clearly not the VSC customer's fault, it is a huge bonus for your geographical location! Simple as that. I am only voicing complaints over the USCIS handling of cases with IMBRA in mind and otherwise. There has always been disparity in processing times.

I call for the boss of the USCIS to be sacked! Clearly, an individual who has been promoted to the level of incompetence. Good luck to you and all others who are in the VSC pipeline.

With all due respect back atcha ;) those with petitions from back in January at CSC would not be waiting on an RFE due to IMBRA. Most likely they are caught up in security checks.

Also what happens in VSC has no bearing on what happens at CSC. They both have their own policies, procedures and individual leadership. VSC is renowned for efficiency. I do feel though that something seriously should be done about the way things are done at CSC.

All the best. I hope that those in CSC will start to receive their RFE's shortly.

That is probably true of the January folks. I am fortunately not one of them.

However, You are mistaken on the CSC/VSC thing.

They are all USCIS, with one leader (Director Emilio Gonzalez). Yes of course, each office has a Chief, but at the end of the day it is USCIS. They are required to follow the same procedures and policy. That is the way the Government works, er.. is supposed to work.

Do you also think each FBI, IRS or Social Security office is independently operated? Absolutely not.

Having worked for the U.S. Government, I am certain of this.

It is also documented that each service center makes their own interpretations on directives from USCIS and operate as such. If I can find the information I refer to I will post it for you. I do have a memory like an elephant though ;):P

I am very much aware of how things work as well, via my husband and avid love of research.
