Hi All,

Im a bit confused and shocked today. I received my NOA2 today just 30 days after my NOA1. I thought for sure it was a RFE but to my surprise it was not! So its caught me a little off guard I didnt really think i would see it for a couple more months but the CSC must be burning through them. So my question is what is my next step? The NOA2 says its only valid from 3/18/2009 thru 7/17/2009. I thought the next step was for the I-129 to be sent to the NVC but the notice says it was forwarded to the listed consulate. So do I wait to hear from the consulate? (Manila) Or do I make contact with them myself?

It actually will go the State Department's NVC office. You can contact them since they probably already have it. They will provide you the MNL case number. Once it leaves them which is usally 1-2 weeks it goes to the USEM and at that time you can start to call the USEM but it typically takes them 1-2 weeks to get the hard copy case and process it before you can setup your interview.

You can also do the medical at anytime now. Make sure you have all your forms ready for the USEM since the pace is moving fast

They go direct to NVC, and usually the stay there is short. Be aware that sometimes they get hung up at NVC.

If you are going to have the medical in advance you will need the case number from NVC, so ring them for that.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

In my case, it was forwarded to NVC. Soon later, we got a letter from NVC informing that they already forwarded the petition to the US Embassy in Manila. A week later, I got a letter from the Embassy stating that I am eligible for the interview. A few days after that, i did my med exam and called the Embassy to set the appointment for interview. If you want to see the sample letters, you can click on the link below.

Good luck!

MY K1 EXPERIENCE blog...click on this link..

My K1 visa has already been approved. I had been really frustrated to find more info about K1 when we were still under the process. Some blogs have been useful. Now, that I completed the K1 process, I wish to share my own experience. So click on the link if you need more info about K1. The blog includes the requirements, med exams, questions on the interview, CFO and more. I hope that it will help. Thanks. Cheers and good luck.. :)
