I hate three quotes or more in a remark. I have always wondered why someone would just post quotes but no comment. I've seen it enough that I wonder if it is a mistake or something I don't get. Ugg, I hate when people quote a whole long story just to say 2-3 words.

Sheep: Baa-ram-ewe, baa-ram-ewe. To your breed, your fleece, your clan be true. Sheep be true. Baa-ram-ewe.

Why do people post a reply and just quote what was said earlier in the post and do not say anything? I have seen this a number of times. Are they just trying to increase their ranking? I do not like scrolling through posts and someone has nothing to add to the question asked. To me, it is very annoying. What do you think? Thanks.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Another option is that they just answered another post (with quote) and are also wishing to include another--but fail to do it within a few seconds, where it then generates as another post (it's happened to me more than once)

It is generally observed message board etiquette to only quote what you will comment on.

Noobs may not be versed on message board etiquette, and may make this mistake. It may take a while for them to figure out that they can edit within the quotes.

Well you would think that would be the case but I have to disagree. By VJ standards, I'm a "noob" but I've been on a bunch of message boards in the past. I've seen some people here with thousands of posts that haven't learned this lesson yet.

That's the point. However, adding additional comments can help the ranking. The point of this is to provide a free flowing topic that transitions like a one-on-one conversation.

Yeah but if you wanted to boost your ranking just say something pointless and controversial to start an argument. I noteiced yesterday there were a couple of really pointless but heated arguments, I won't mention names, that just wouldn't quit.
