that will work. Make sure you collect all the civil documents to send along with the DS-230.

EZ is the shorter version. You have to answer yes to all of the first 3 questions on the EZ form to be able to use the form. Otherwise, use the long one. Think about them like 1040 & 1040EZ with the IRS.

a joint sponsor is the one who is accountable for financial support for the intending immigrant/beneficiary/applicant.

If the petitioner cannot meet the Income requirement, NVC allows up to 2 joint sponsors to sponsor the intending immigrant. If somehow the petitioner fails to support the intending immigrant after admission, the joint sponsor will be responsible. Just like someone co-signs a loan with you. Legally, the co-signer/joint sponsor holds the ultimate financial responsibility

The petitioner files an I846 him/herself.

The joint sponsor file an I846 him/herself as if he/she is the petitioner BUT check the appropriate box in Part 1 of the form.

I need some help. My Mom used to work at Oman (middle east) as an English Teacher. She stayed there for a year (1982-1983). I know she will need a police clearance from Oman. I downloaded the procedure online and sent it to my mom who is in the Philippines. There is a $12 fee for the application of Police certificate and according to the Oman Police website you can go to the bank and wire the funds in there and attached the receipt of the $12 payment with the packet.

When my mom went to the bank (metrobank) they said they cannot wire the funds to Oman because it is not on their list or they are not permitted to send money to that country.

Our Plan B is my mom will send me all her docs from Oman and I will send the packet and wire the $12 police clearance apllication payment from here (US) and see it it works.

Does anyone of you have the same experience as we are? I am still waiting for the approval of my petition but we are trying to get all the paper works done.

Thanks for you reply. i will send email template with attachment of a pdf with my parents signature. but i haven't get my dad's ds3032 from nvc yet. just waiting for that.

i already filled out the 1864 and i864a ( my husband). i am currenly not working.

question, i already have 3 years of tax transcripts from irs, do i still need w2's? also the emplyment letter, we have one from my husband's company in Mar 25, 2009, for when i file N400. can i just use the copy of that one? is the paystubs necessary?

You can email DS3032 as it doesnt need signature...use the VJwiki email template..atleast it will be in queue at NVC and later you can mail the DS3032.

You can fill I-864 and get it ready and as soon as the status changes to PAID, you can print the cover sheet and you can mail. You need last 6 months paystubs, employment letter, W2's, IRS tax transcripts.

I am still waiting for my dad's ds3032, right after i got it, i will send to NVC the ds3032 via email, and also let my parents send to NVC a paper ds3032. so since i alread paid the AOS fee, should i fill out I864 to NVC or i have to wait for them to ask me to? also what else do i need to send with I864, i ordered the IRS tax transcripts for last 3 years. anything alse i need to send along with the I864?

can you tell me what did you submit with the i864? did you submit w2 or IRS tax transcripts or paystubs since you didn't submit employment letter?

FYI, from what I understand, employment letter is no longer a requirement. I submitted my AOS without the employment letter and it was approved.
