Yes it is required and also ORIGINAL petitioners Birth Certificate too.

original of petitioners marriage certificate is necessary when preparing IV DS 230 forms package?

can someone confirm this? When putting IV pkg together, i thought there is no need for original birth certificate of petitioner? let me know

Hi Feliz! Hope that you get your DS-3032 approved soon. I have been comparing timelines from other people with cases with about the same date similar to our cases and it is taking on average two - two and a half weeks for the DS-3032 e-mail to be approved. I will keep you posted if my DS-3032 get s approved. Thank you and good luck with your mom's journey. P.S. We had about the same journey timeframe on our Citizenship Process as well.

For people who sponsor relatives from China, I strongly urge you opt-in electronic processing, which was super fast - in our case: 6 weeks for NVC to complete the case and schedule the interview.

you are talking abt the initial i-130 pkg or IV pkg ? they are 2 diff things

NVC requires that the petitioner includes a original birth certificate and marriage certificate be included with the DS-230, if you are applying for both parents you can put a photocopy of the originals in one parents DS-230 with a sticky note saying "Original is held in NVC case # ABC**********" that way you only need one original of each certificate.

could someone tell me what's next after the AOS is PAID and printed the document coversheet, do i have to wait for NVC to email instructions on what's next or i can print the I-864 and send it along with other required docs?and also how many days before the DS3032 is accepted? thanks..

Once the AOS is paid and you have printed the Barcode coversheet, you need to download the I-864 and complete attatch all the documents required and then mail it to NVC. The full instructions on what you need to do are on the NVC payment site on the right hand side of the page, just click the link.

It can take two weeks + before the DS-3032 is entered into the NVC system. Use the time to gather together all the paperwork for the DS-230 so that once the DS-3032 has been accepted you can pay the IV Bill and then mail the DS-230

Thank you nocturnalbeat, I noticed too that our timelines are similar, lets keep each other posted. I donno if you follow the immigration portal thred too http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.p...605&page=27 but there is a warning from VizaNutz - to NOT PAY IV BILL ONLINE untill it's actually issued receive it in the email

Feliz... I just wanted to bring something to your attention...

I know we try to speed things up every way possible - but there's probably something called too soon. I am worried I might have to learn that the hard way.

I was checking the Visa fee site regularly for the IV Fee bill to become available for payment. Just like yours, it showed "Not Invoiced" for a while. Yesterday morning, I checked and it was "Not Paid", and allowed me to select it for payment processing. I did it right away and it gave me transaction number/ emailed receipt etc. Throughout yesterday and today it was saying "Processing". Money was taken out of my account today ($400).

However, this evening I got an email from NVC which was the "IV Fee Bill Invoice", just like the AOS fee invoice email. I told myself "Oh I already paid it". I went to the fee site, and to my surprise, on the "Invoice" tab, the IV Fee's status was changed to "Not Paid" and it was selectable for payment processing again. I was like WTH? Thankfully, on the "Receipts" tab, it still shows that there is a pending IV Fee Bill payment with status "Processing".

I just hope that by the time the payment is marked "Paid", the records get updated and it shows that the IV Fee has been paid. If not, I will call NVC.

So, there you go - DO NOT PAY BEFORE YOU GET THE INVOICE EMAIL, EVEN IF THE VISA FEE SITE ALLOWS YOU TO PAY. I just got the email the next day, so wait out and save yourself from more headaches.

10/20/09 - login failed! - between 5 pm and 9 pm PST, at 5 pm it was still working

10/21/09 - case complete! (AVR updated after 10 pm) = total NVC 37 days

10/28/09 - interview date email came at 6.30 pm, no AVR changes yet

10/30/09 - AVR: "Case sent to embassy on Oct 29" = total 4 months from delivery of i130 to USCIS

11/02/09 - Medical

11/20/09 - Interview - PASSED!!!

11/28 - POE: LAX

I do keep an eye on the other forum. Thanks for the info Feliz. Yeah, VISAnutz had to call the NVC and tell them that he had paid the bill. I am going to wait until I get the e-mail with either the DS-3032 approval or the e-mail with the DS-230 packet and instructions.

We got the Notice of Action in yesterday with some kind of a strange (to me) WAC-XX-XXX-XXXXX receipt number, too long for the case status.

To summarize a rather long typed page in one short phrase, "don't hold your breathe." "You can check our processing dates at the CSC, (63 months) then further wait until a visa is available from the DOS.

Hi everyone

Just an update on our case. We are still awaiting a Police Check from Germany. This is now over two weeks and sadly we think it is caught up in the postal strikes that are hitting the UK.

Also we have moved home and the Royal Mail delayed in setting up our redirection of post so that put it smack into the middle of the strike.

The mailman has not yet been today and we are ever hopeful that we will see something. We still have to get the Police Check translated and then sent to the NVC so we are now weeks behind and it seems to have pushed us into a December interview at the very earliest.

Of course all this assumes that the Police Check is actually on the way.

It is particularly annoying as we had asked so many times what was required and were given the wrong information by the US Embassy in London.

Advice to everyone. If you have ANY questions, ask the people here. You will always get a fair and informed response.

The problem is that so many agencies are involved with the visa application that they all see it from different angles.

Hi everyone

Just an update on our case. We are still awaiting a Police Check from Germany. This is now over two weeks and sadly we think it is caught up in the postal strikes that are hitting the UK.

Also we have moved home and the Royal Mail delayed in setting up our redirection of post so that put it smack into the middle of the strike.

The mailman has not yet been today and we are ever hopeful that we will see something. We still have to get the Police Check translated and then sent to the NVC so we are now weeks behind and it seems to have pushed us into a December interview at the very earliest.

Of course all this assumes that the Police Check is actually on the way.

It is particularly annoying as we had asked so many times what was required and were given the wrong information by the US Embassy in London.

Advice to everyone. If you have ANY questions, ask the people here. You will always get a fair and informed response.

The problem is that so many agencies are involved with the visa application that they all see it from different angles.

Richard I am so sorry you are still waiting for that Police report. I hope it arrives soon so you can get back on track. I am off ill at the moment as I have got the Flu, so not arround to much, but when I saw your post I was hoping that it was you reporting case complete. Keep strong it will happen for you.
