Hello everybody,

I just called NVC and the operator said the my parent's case has been completed as today Sept 23rd. They are just waiting to schedule my parent's interview date that would probably be for November. Good , I am so happy I am almost done...Thank you guys for your guidance in this process...

Guys, please help. If my husband filling out the form I-864A for my mom, how do we count his income for the question number 11?

I have a few question about I 864 and I 864A, trying to get it ready ahead of time. hope someone can help me with it.

a little bit about my case, I am the sponsor for both of my parents I130. however, i am umemployed. so my husband is going to be the co sponsor, which i believe he has to fill out I 864A. My questions are:

1. do i have to fill out one I 864 for each of my parents, and so does my husband for I 864A?

Yes each parent needs a I-864 and a I-864a from your husband

2. on I 864 part 3 #8. do i choose yes, or no with my husband as a co sponsor in this case?

Yes

3. on I 864 part 3 #9, do i need to put my dad's name on my mom's application, and do the same thing on my dad's application?

No they each have there own application so you do not list them here.

4. on I 864 part 3 #10,what number should i enter there?

5. on I 864 part 5 #21, household size , it's me as a sponsor, my husband as a co sponsor, my parents. total of 4. what number should i put in each of the a,b,c,d,e,f,g,and h?

a. 1

b. 1

c. 1

d. if you have children enter number here

e. if you have any other dependents enter number here

f. if you have sponsored anyone before who is already in the USA, enter number here

g. if you have siblings or other parents whos income is being used enter number here

h. enter total here. i.e. you, husband and mom = 3. on the other parents form it will be 3 as well i.e. you, husband and Dad

6. do i need tax transcript of 2008 or the copy of tax return is good enough?

If you are going to send your tax return you will need to send all W2's 1099's and all schedules. If you get a tax transcripts you only need to send that.

You would choose c, your husband is not the intending immigrant.

Your name goes there a you are the sponsor. where it asks for indicate number it would be (1) and then you list your mom on one form and your dad on the other form

You need to have enough income for 4 people in total but on the forms you can only list 3 persons on each of the AOS. Confusing I know I spent 2 hours on the phone with NVC to find out exactly how the forms had to be completed. Please to say I had no problems with the AOS after I sent them..

my guess would be that he needs to put his individual annual income, whatever he reported on the federal tax form for 2008 (adjusted gross income-from the 1040 tax form). Edited September 24, 2009 by Oksana81

For 2009, its $27,562 (125%)

But I think they will be using the 2008 which is $26,500 (125%)

But I think they will be using the 2008 which is $26,500 (125%)

They will be using 2009, it goes by the date you file the application not the date you earned the money.

Yes I got the exact same auto reponse email when I sent the DS3032...

I called NVC today and they told me to call after 2-4 weeks as they don't see the cases on their system.

how long is it currently taking for cases to reach NVC?
