Hi Oksana 81!

I hope my mother's interview is going to be at the end of November-fisrt week of December. I am planing to go to Moscow with her.

After that , I am planning to go back to the States. I think my mother will be here in January-February ( I have to go to Russia again :blush: ). My mother has 3 (!) :wacko: cats, we have to bring them to the States :wacko: . Oh my....

No, pay the bill. Wait for it to clear. Print out the barcoded cover sheet. And send in your DS230 package. No need to wait for NVC to send you any thing.

Richard and ptrober, any progress on your cases?

NVC AVR is befind so I spoke to an operator and confirmed the receipt of the AOS and IV documents - they were just entered to the system today! She said it takes 4-6 weeks for NVC to review them. Hopefully it won't be that long.

happy to let you know my mom's case has been approved and a notice of approval has been sent. I sent the RFE 8/31 and was received 9/03 and finally tonight got the email! 5 days of waiting and prayers answered! now i can process my parent's case together :dance::dance:

FYI, you will not be allowed to be with your mother during the time of interview. They don't let inside the Embassy anybody who is there to accompany applicant. Your mom can spend quite a long time there, so all that time you will have to wait outside.

I was thinking about going to Russia for my mother's interview as well, but decided that it would be worthless.

I sent DS-3032 for my Dad via e-mail to NVC last week and just received two forms today from NVC via e-mails:

DS-3032 and AOS Fee Bil ($70)

Does this mean NVC acknowledged receiving my DS-3032 or do I still have to resend it via e-mail and by mail?

There was no acknowledgement they received my DS-3032 e-mail.

And mooninlove, how did you ask NVC to have your Dad case waiting for your Mom's case? did you ask NVC by phone or e-mail?

It can take NVC a few weeks to accept the emailed DS3032, You could send it by snail mail as well as email but I am sure the one you have already emailed will be accepted soon. You will know when the DS3032 has been accepted when the IV bill is generated and you receive the email asking you to pay the IV bill.

You can call NVC and speak to a operator, they will be able to tell you what is going on with your case.

NVC received my I864 package this morning via Fedex, also my Dad emailed DS-3032 on 9/4, still have not received acknowledge from NVC on this, how long does it take for I864 to get approved ? :unsure:

  • 1/20/16 - NVC welcome letter rcvd , along with AOS invoice
  • 1/21/16 - Agent of choice sent
  • 2/02/16 - IV Fee invoice rcvd
  • 2/05/16 - Paid AOS & IV Fees

Hi Vveell!

Thank you. I know the rules. I have to support my mother and help her with the medical exam, double check her paper work, etc. Also it is good to see my mother :thumbs: . I am the only child and I am only one to take care of my mother. By the way, the flight is cheap- $660-800 :dance: round trip from MN to Moscow. I am planning to wait ouside the Embassy. There are so many shopping centers, cafeterias, etc. whithin the walking distance to the American Embassy. I am planning to spend about 5-7 days in Moscow.

Hi Luckyyy. The NVC Automated service acknowledged that the DS230 package has arrived. Now, like PTROBER it is just a question of waiting......

I called them 2 days after receiving by mail the NOA2. The Officer asks infos about me and my dad and email add but told them my mom's case is still pending so i'll wait for it and she said that's fine. Maybe around 2 weeks or less I received by mail the DS3032 & AOS fee for my dad. As Tay have said, no need to make further actions if I wanted to wait for my mom's case and that's what I did. So hoping this week they have already my mom's case @ NVC.

Hello everyone,

I just called NVC to find out if they approved my AOS(I 864)for my parents. They said everything was fine...no RFE's on 864......good!!!Also, they told me that they are waiting for the DS 230(biographic forms) which I mailed them yesterday...so they should be getting sometime today. I should've send them last week, but I was waiting for my parent's passport pics.

My family (sisters and brothers in law) and I here in the States are planning to visit my parents sometime in November or december....and since I am going to my country, Do anybody knows if they would let me be in the interview day at the US Embassy? or I am not allowed to go inside for the interview?

When the case gets to NVC and you get the NVC case number you can give the email address to the NVC operator. You will then get everything by email..
