Hi All,

Regarding "original" documents I asked in previous post,

1) are they returned to my parents after the interview?

2) The NVC letter normally say "you're required to bring original documents to the Interview even though you've sent us these docss", etc, how do my parents have them for the Interview if they will submit these "originals" to the NVC along with DS-230?

Please advise. Thanks.

Hello Tayriver, Richard or anyone who can help me please,

I am excited but at the same time nervous because I am not sure what should I do now:

I have case number assigned for both parents at NVC last week. Few minutes ago , I only got the choice of agent form and AOS fee for $70 for my mom. I have 2 questions:

1. Even though they sent me the choice of agent form to sign it and return it, I want to do it by e-mail so they can receive and acknoledge faster. But, is there a form or a letter sample that I write when I send this email to NVC. Please guys tell me whjat did you write on there.

2.I know that I only have to pay $70 once(mom and dad), but Should I pay now or do I need to wait until I got an email from NVC regarding my dad's choice of agent and AOS for my dad...

Please guy help me with these question asap.....

thank you so much

Good morning Nancy

Here is the link for the email DS-3032:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

And yes, pay the bill online now.

It will probably take around 4 busness days for this register as 'paid'. The DS-3032 slightly longer.

Best wishes

Richard

Hello everyone,

As mentioned yesterday, my Dad's I-130 got approved but not my Mom's or Brother's even though I sent all I-130s in the same package with one set of supporting Documents.

Is there anything I could do to ask USCIS to consider my Mom's I-130 and approve it not too far behind from my Dad's approval?

Thanks.

All you can do is wait for the other I-130 to be approved before you start sending or paying anything to NVC. Once all the I-130's have been approved and are at NVC then you can continue with the process at NVC with all the cases together.

Hi all,

1) Regarding e-mailing DS-3032 designating me as his Agent, can I e-mail NVC using my e-mail account or my Dad has to e-mail NVC from his e-mail account?

2) For DS-230's supporting documents, do I have to submit "original" Birth Certificates and Family Registry? My parents are afraid to send me the "originals" because they had only one copy of the original. They are in Vietnamese and very old. Can they send me a "certified" copy of the Birth Certificate (of course I will also translate it) so that I can submit it?

3) Since I will receive my Dad's NOA2 anytime now, when should I start calling NVC for Case Number?

Please advise. Thank you very much

1) You can email it from your email account. I did that as my persents were unsure what to do.

2) You must send the original documents to NVC they will not accept a copy.

3) you can call now but it does take a few days for the case to get to NVC from USCIS and for NVC to enter it into their system.

Was she listed on the K1 application? if so she may have follow to join benefits. If she was not listed then your husband would need to file a I-130 for her.

Richard & ptrober,

How long did it take for NVC to process your payments of the fee bills? We paid the fee bills online 6:30pm pacific time on Monday (8/24/2009). They are still showing "In process", however we are seeing the pending transactions in our BOA online banking this morning. I know, I know that I have to be patient, but like everyone else, I just want to send all the documents to NVC as soon as they clear the payment. The sooner, the better!

Thanks and good luck to everyone! :)

I paid all the bills for my parents on line in the morning and they were showing as paid after 2 days. You may find as you paid in the evening that it will be showing as paid later today or in the morning.

Hi Domi22:

Are you sure your parents have their "original" Birth Certificates?? You usually don't get an original birth certificate because that's the one that civil registry offices keep...

Then years down the road, if anyone requests his/her birth certificate, then they usually get a certified copy that says something like "this is a true copy of the original birth certificate archived in file# blah blah blah"

But just so you know, the NVC does accept originals OR certified copies. It's on their website. Certified copies have to be issued by the entity in charge to issue birth certificates... It's not like you can make a photocopy and notarize it...

On that same website, it tells you about translating documents.... you might not need to translate any of your DS-230 supporting documents. I didn't translate any of my parents' documents.

And regarding your mom's I-130 not being approved as soon as your dad's, well maybe it was because you only sent 1 set of supporting documents when you should've sent both??

Don't worry though! Have faith that your mom's approval is coming soon!!! I had the same situation... my dad's I-130 got approved first and my mom's got approved a couple of days later even though I sent both I-130s the same day!!!

Good luck!!!

Hi all,

1) Regarding e-mailing DS-3032 designating me as his Agent, can I e-mail NVC using my e-mail account or my Dad has to e-mail NVC from his e-mail account?

Can they send me a "certified" copy of the Birth Certificate (of course I will also translate it) so that I can submit it?

3) Since I will receive my Dad's NOA2 anytime now, when should I start calling NVC for Case Number?

Please advise. Thank you very much
