Hi everyone,

You guys keep saying you received e-mails from USCIS telling about case update, approved, RFE, etc...

I put in the case no and all I got back was "on June 1, we sent you NOA1" but nothing else. I also registered to be notified by e-mails for updates on cases for my parents.

Did I do all the necessary things to get update from USCIS by e-mails, just as you guys did?

Please advise. Thanks.

Yes you have done everythng you can. You are not likely to get any up-dates until the I-130 is approved, Unless you get a RFE. My parents I-130 are still saying pending!! and they have been in the US for two weeks now. So some people never get any up-dates.

I-130's that were filed in March/April are just getting approvals now so it could be a few more weeks before you hear anything. Hang in there it will happen...

I have a question about the I-130. They're asking the A#. Do we have to say N/A or give the A number. I put my A# on my Mother's I-130. And I am just wondering if that will cause my Mother's case delayed. And that's why I asked you that because I am fixing to file for my Father now. Please, I need your advise! thanks

i recently filed i-130s and i just wrote "US Citizen" in the place where they were asking for A#...hope this helps.

No, pay the bill. Wait for it to clear. Print out the barcoded cover sheet. And send in your DS230 package. No need to wait for NVC to send you any thing.

Yes you have done everythng you can. You are not likely to get any up-dates until the I-130 is approved, Unless you get a RFE. My parents I-130 are still saying pending!! and they have been in the US for two weeks now. So some people never get any up-dates.

i recently filed i-130s and i just wrote "US Citizen" in the place where they were asking for A#...hope this helps.

I did not put a A# on the I-130's I filed for my parents, but I dont think that would cause any delay. If they were to check the A# they would see that it was your old A# from before you became a citizen.

I've just received an email tonight and it's an RFE for my mom's case asking for more evidence or information. They've just sent the mail today so I'm not sure what else to prove... i'll let you know what it is when I receive it..

mooninlove, sorry to hear you get a RFE for your mum's case. I hope it is something real simple that you can send right back to them.

Richard, as you said the speed of the NVC part of the journey is breath taking. You will be getting on the flight before you know it.

what a bummer :angry: i guess it will be delayed for weeks until it's resolved..i told my mom to give me copies of all info's from her job-affidavits from friends and families so i can include on that RFE..for now just wait and see for me! Goodluck to evryone, i'll catch up soon :)

Just looked at your dates Jmari. You will be there quicker than you realise. As Tayrivers said to me, enjoy the time you have now, because soon you will be really busy! (or words to that effect!)

Intrigued as to how long it will take. Maybe the delay until NOA-2 will be offset now by a fast journey through the NVC and hopefully an early interview in London.

We are prepared for most things now.

At least we will be there for Christmas! Not sure if our furniture will make it in time!

Hi all,

I just received e-mail from USCIS saying they sent NOA2 for my Dad last Friday. No such info on my Mom and brother yet!

1) Regarding e-mailing DS-3032 designating me as his Agent, can I e-mail NVC using my e-mail account or my Dad has to e-mail NVC from his e-mail account?

2) For DS-230's supporting documents, do I have to submit "original" Birth Certificates and Family Registry? My parents are afraid to send me the "originals" because they had only one copy of the original. They are in Vietnamese and very old. Can they send me a "certified" copy of the Birth Certificate (of course I will also translate it) so that I can submit it?

3) Since I will receive my Dad's NOA2 anytime now, when should I start calling NVC for Case Number?
