How long does it usually take between NOA2 and for NVC to receive our case from CSC? It's been more than 2 weeks since we got approved and the NVC auto system still says "there is no record for this case number". Sigh.

I would call NVC and speak to a officer, the AVR can be a few days behind.

No, pay the bill. Wait for it to clear. Print out the barcoded cover sheet. And send in your DS230 package. No need to wait for NVC to send you any thing.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and wanted to add to your progress list. I became a US citizen through marriage back in June and filed for my parents recently to the Chicago Lockbox (Vermont Service Center is my processing center...or at least should be).

I received the NOAs from CSC? I have read lots of posts where files from VSC were transfered to CSC but mine was directly sent to CSC? Anyways, here's the info for the list.

Do not wait for NVC to contact you. be proactive and gather together all the documents you are going to need for the I-864 and the DS-230.

Welcome, Dont be confused by the fact that your I-130's have been sent to CSC that has happened to lots of us. CSC is faster at processing than VSC so it is a good thing.

Have a read of the NVC process so you can spend the time waiting for the approval of the I-130's gathering all the documents you are going to need for the next stage.

i say that becuase it seems once your case reaches NVC, you can somewhat control the process to make it faster by being proactive and having all docs ready to go as soon as NVC requests it - am i right here?

Yes yes yes. Be very well prepared for the NVC. Get all your documents ready.

It may seem at the moment that the NOA1 - NOA2 is the longest wait but it fluctuates a great deal. Check out Tayrivers timeline as earlier this year it was just two weeks. We have just waited 15 weeks!

But preparation is everything and ask lots of questions, we all do!

Finally NVC received our case and entered it into their system. Case number assigned. Yay! :)

02/05/2010: GREEN CARD ARRIVED - exactly 2 weeks after entering the US!!! :-D

02/06/2010: Welcome letter arrived (surprisingly, 1 day later than green card ;-) )

Finally NVC received our case and entered it into their system. Case number assigned. Yay! :)

So did you speak to an officer or was the AVR updated?

08/10/09 : I-130 NOA2 Received

08/17/09 : NVC Received

08/17/09 : NVC Case Numbers issued

08/19/09 : Received DS-3032/I-864 Bill

08/19/09 : Paid I-864 Bill

08/19/09 : Return Completed DS-3032 (by email)

08/21/09 : Receive I-864 Package

08/21/09 : Return Completed I-864

09/04/09 : DS-3032 accepted

09/04/09 : Receive IV Bill

09/04/09 : Paid IV Bill

09/07/09 : I-864 Approved

09/09/09 : Returned Completed DS-230 package

09/11/09 : DS-230 received by NVC

09/23/09 : Case Complete NVC

09/29/09 : NVC Left

10/08/09 : Medical

11/30/09 : Interview Date - VISAS APPROVED!

12/05/09 : Visa Received
