Hi guys,

I have a little question, may be it's a silly quetsion but I'd appreciate if somebody could answer.

In regards to the choice of agent form. Do they need it to be the original or can my mom fax the signed form to me? In this case it's going to be a copy of the form. Will they accept it or does she have to mail me the original form by regular mail?

Also, since my NOA2 is lost in the mail, I would like to know, will this form be needed further in the process, for e.g. will my mom need to bring the NOA2 to her interview?

In India you need to have Interview Letter to schedule for Medicals. I scheduled for my parents by sending an email to the Doctor as email is the only way to schedule interviews in Hyderabad, India.

I am hoping to receive an email about my mom's interview schedule as well. I called NVC today and the AVR said that mom's case was completed yesterday, March 25. Was screamingggggg when I heard it! Just got so excited! I am now hoping to get the interview schedule so I can tell my mom and she can prepare beforehand for the medical and the interview. We live far from the interview and medical sites so careful planning is needed weeks before the medical and the interview.

Sachinky, I have a question. Why was your mom's medical scheduled weeks before the actual interview on May 12 for your mom? Is this the same case for all applicants in the US consulate in India? Maybe it varies country to country because I think in the Philippines, applicants can just go to St. Luke's two weeks before the actual interview to have their medical done.

The advantage of having a medical scheduled weeks before the interview, however, is that you can be more certain that your medical result will be in before the interview and you don't have to stress yourself about it not being there at the time of your actual interview.

Congrats, Sachinky, and to all others who have been waiting like me for NVC to complete their case. It sure helps to know that there are other people on the same boat, and it is so reassuring to know that I am not alone.

You dont have to send(snail mail) signed DS-3032 to NVC instead you can email them using this template...I dont know about others but for my parents i did not use NOA2 anywhere......and not even at the time of Interview.

If you would like snail mail them, then what you can do is print the one that you emailed and write NVC case number on the top and snail mail it.....

Hi Raj,

the reason I want to send it by snail mail is that I need to fix an error in my mom's name and I'll be also sending the NVC the proof of the correct spelling of her name in the same package. I want to make sure that the name error is fixed in the online system as soon as they recieve the forms before I proceed with other steps in the process.

Again, this is me asking another question. I hope you don't get tired helping all of us vjers.

I received an RFE for my dad's petition so my dad's case was approved last March 16 while mom was approved last February 22. I paid the AOS fee of $70 and called NVC about it and they told me to just send the AOS for my dad since I don't have to pay another $70 for my dad. My question is, how will I generate the barcoded cover letter for AOS for my dad if I didn't pay the $70 for my dad? Please advice. Thanks.

Did NVC assign case number to your Dad's case? If they assigned did your dad get emails about DS-3032 and AOS Email? If you have received the AOS email then the email should contain invoice number and you can try logging in using your Dad's NVC case number and the invoice number and check the AOS status and if the status says PAID then you will be able to print the Document Cover sheet(NVC should have linked both the cases).

Did you call NVC and find out about the RFE? Sometimes AVR message is misleading. I would advise you to call NVC and talk to an operator to get more info..

well, I spoke with an operator and I have a case complete for my mum but an RFE for my step dad. For Q.30 on the DS-230 part one it asks you to list every place you have lived since you turned 16. My stepdad's went back all the way to 16 years and 2 months - so they are sending me an RFE for those two moths!! RIDICULOUS!!

Anyway, at least that is all it is. Now I just have to wait for the emails so I can re-send it back with the bar coded cover letter and they can begin the final review again.
