still waiting for case complete................ugh!

Should be soon because mine has already been completed on 03/13. I'm now a waiting for the interview e-mail but I'll probably have to reschedule since my parents are here on a valid tourist visa. Unless they can do the interview here? Do you know?

CONGRATULATIONS on your NOA2!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes it is hard to get and i I used to call all time of the day and once in a while it used to be bad but most of the times i used to get connected after 2 or 3 times....

Thanks Raj456, but the thing is i don't have any income this past 2009 since i quit my job last 2008 and I've been a stay home mom for almost 2 years already. Also I just received the actual NOA2 today!! Hooray kind of fast. I've been trying to call the NVC today but it's always busy, do you have any idea what is the best time to call I've been trying for almost 6 hours already and still a busy signal.

One quick question RAJ ..

I filled for both my parent and I got approval from USCIS for my mother on 3/10. Still did not receive NOA2 in mail. Also I am keep calling NVC but it says they don't have this case. ( Automated message ). Now my question is , is there a way to find out why my father's application is not done yet. Also online it shows initial review.

Why I am worried is they both have Visitor visa and last time they came US on June 19th 2009. Initially CBP officer gave my dad 3 months I - 94 and then he gave 6 month to my mom. He put another stamp on my dad's I 94 for 6 month immediately. We were confused to which one to consider so we went to airport to find out and they didnot allow us to go inside but security officer went inside and told us that my dad's I -94 is also 6 months as my mom. When I ask to give me any letter to confirm that he said he can't give. but date on I - 94 is sufficient to prove.

Could it be that issue for my dad's case ? they might be doing some extra check or something ?

We want to have them same time visa interview. But should I just go ahead with Mom's case ?

You might wanna check with NVC if your parents can have their interview here instead of them going back to the Philippines. Also, I am not sure if they will allow your parents to have a medical here in the US as well.. Good Luck!!!!

NVC lost my mom's photograph but I am hoping to have a case complete within this week.

I dont think the I-94 expiration date will not be an issue as it was stamped by the USCIS officials at the airport. You should be receiving NOA2 soon for your Mother, call USCIS regarding your father's case to find out the status and tell them that you applied both your Mom's and Dad's together and find out the status of your Dads.

I would suggest you to wait and process both the cases together at NVC and this way both of them will have interview together.

Once your last package (AOS, DS230, RFE) has been delivered to NVC, you will have a case complete in about 10 days, barring any RFEs. Good luck!

hi, katie ashley-

i only sent the nbi clearance. i didn't asked my mom to get a police clearance. i think in the philippines the police clearance is only considered as a local clearance and they prefer nbi if you are going overseas. if your parents are getting nbi clearance, have them tell the nbi employee to put "travel USA" in their nbi clearance.

Hi,

I'm the petitioner for both of my parents.

I paid $70 (NOT $140) online and today both of their cases' status turned to PAID.

But, when I printed out the document cover sheet by logging in using each parent's own case # and invoice ID, why it only shows my dad's name and case # even though I logged in using my mom's case # and invoice ID?

Should I pay $70 x 2??

Hi Lavoparents,

The same is happening to me. I filed for both of my parents just 10 days before you did. I got my mom's case approved at the end of February but my dad's case is still showing under initial review since 12/01/09. I don't know if I should proceed with my mom's but I really want them to have the interview together.

Can someone please provide me with the USCIS phone number so I can check the status of my dad's?
