Also, for the I-864 form, does it have to be notarized? Or just simply fill out the form and attach a copy of tax return? What else do I have to send with the affidavit of support? I just want to make sure Im not missing any docs. Thank you.

It doesn't have to be notarized.pay stubs,emplyment letter,w2 should be included in the I864.

Still under maintenance... Is there any other way to retrieve the cover letter that we need to send in with our DS-230?

Called NVC on 02/26/10 to see if they had assigned case numbers but was only able to get it through the AVR since the recording said they had a power outage so I was not able to register email addresses. Called NVC again on 03/02/10 after getting back from vacation and got a rude lady who was unwilling to register email addresses...she kept on insisting to send a request through email to register...grrr! almost 30mins waiting just to speak to someone and still unsuccessful to register. Called NVC once again on 03/05/10 and got this really nice lady who was more than happy to register all the possible email addresses available. Quickly sent request for agent of choice via email for both parents that same day. Today 03/06/10 received confirmation of DS-3032 via email:

Good Day:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated agent on

the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions before the

instruction packet will be sent.

I am trying to access the NVC website but it is still under maintanance. It's been 3 days.... does anybody know when it's gonna be done??? or is there any other websites that I can pay the fee? Im kind of worried about it.... Thanksss all

I just got off the phone with NVC and they said that the website will be back up and running from noon today.

No matter how prepared you are there is always the unexpected.

Hopefully this will be the only hurdle for everyone!

No notary is not required. I sent in the following

A covering letter

I-864 Document Cover Sheet

I-864 Affidavit Form for my father (Name goes here...)

Employment Letter from my employer (Employer name goes here...)

Current Year Pay Stubs, last 6 months

Last 3 years W-2 copies

IRS Tax Return Transcripts copies for the last 3 years

You need to send in 2 photos size 2 X 2 as i did the same for my parents.... Write NVC Case Number on the back of the photo and the name of the beneficiary with pencil....

I just want to ask what size of picture and how many pictures do we have to include for the DS 230 form? Is it 2 copies of 2X2? Thanks.

I have another question though on AOS Form I-864. On question #9 - I am sponsoring the following family members immigrating at the same time or within six months of the principalimmigrant named in Part 2 above. Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition.

Do I have to include the name of the father who is also being petitioned like my mother? Or do I leave it blank since my father is on a separate visa petition? Please help. Thanks.

hi clarax, thanks for the info.. do you receive any email other than the ds3032 accepted email before paying the IV fee?

both AOS bill and IV bill are still in progress!!! The NVC operator told me that I have to give more time for them to change my paid status. I didnt receive any letter via email for IV bill ( my Dad's case) but I already paid for IV bill. I saw that some wikiers said that we should not pay the IV bill until receive a letter regarding to IV bill for our cases.

yes, that's what i thought too. Ihaven't received any IV bill but there is an iv invoice when i log on to nvc websit. so confuse!!! my aos fee until now is still in progress, it's been 5 daysss. so u are not the only one :-)
