Is anyone else getting the 'maintenance message' when trying to log into the NVC website?

It wont let me input my NVC case number or receipt number which is really annoying because I want to print off the cover pages to send the DS-230.

Very annoying - its been like this all day...

Same here, all day. But I just checked, the site is working now, except that "still in progress" and the money was taken from my bank account. I guess tomorrow it will show as paid.

No, pay the bill. Wait for it to clear. Print out the barcoded cover sheet. And send in your DS230 package. No need to wait for NVC to send you any thing.

It was reopen in the evening and I paid the IV fee about 8p.m(EST). I still could not get PAID in my AOS fee payment although they charged 70$ in my bank account :(. Hope that I could send I 864 and Ds 230 at the same time ^^.

09/23/2009 - Sent I-130 For My Parents to Chicago Lockbox.

09/25/2009 - USCIS received I-130.

09/30/2009 - Received NOA1

02/01/2010 - Touch.

02/02/2010 - both my parents got Touch.

02/03/2010 - Touch.

02/16/2010 - email approved for Mom's case.

02/18/2010 - email approved for Dad's case.

02/20/2010 - hard copy NOA2 for Mom.

Completed with USCIS

02/25/2010 - got case's assigned NVC numbers for both parent.

03/02/2010 - received AOS and DS 3032 packet in email.

03/02/2010 - paid AOS fee and sent DS 3032 by email.

03/04/2010 - received accepted letter for DS 3032 in email.

They wanted the USC petitioner (my husband's) bank statements of all checking and savings accounts. No idea why, because my joint sponsor was more than fully qualified. Anyway, it's been sent in and now're waiting for a case complete with bated breath.

HI all,

May I pls ask how to send the ds3032 via email back to the NVC because i dont wanna wast time just 4 waitting my parents sign and send it back to me. However, I read the instruction on the ds 3032 which the NVC emailed me, there is no email option. it is only send the form by mail to NVC adress. anyone pls advise????

You have to have your parents send an email to this address: NVCINQUIRY@STATE.GOV (or you can do it by logging on to their email account but I think that the NVC needs to see that the email came from the beneficiary's email address)

Case transffered to local office

I had pending I 130s for two brothers and mother and father. NOA1 is 12/07/2009 and applications were received on 11/30/2009 to Chicago lock box.

Yesterday we got email through USCIS that my two brother's case transferred to NBC and today we got two email from USCIS is my parents cases are transfered to local USCIS office. I will get a letter in mail about decision.

I wonder if this is normal process for parents ? How long it takes once it goes to local office for processing ? Does it mean we will get a query or interview for me at local office ?

Yes - exactly. I was confused by that in the beginning too but it works!!
