They should get physical green cards within 4 - 6 weeks after their entry into US. Did you check the option 'YES' for Q.43b on DS-230 if you did then you should get the card in the mail.

My parents got Visa and arrived in US the end of last month. They were finger-printed and picture taken at the POE Atlanta.

Do they need to do anything now after they already are in USA?

When do they expect to receive Green Card and SSN?

No, pay the bill. Wait for it to clear. Print out the barcoded cover sheet. And send in your DS230 package. No need to wait for NVC to send you any thing.

October Filers like me who haven't recieved NOA2 yet, we are half way through Frebruary. In 15 days, we will be waiting over 5 months. I called CSC yesterday, the lady gave me a reference number and told me that they will contact me in 45 days. That is one and half month just to look up my info!!! Is there anything we can do about this?

Not sure. I thought about calling but wanted to give it two more weeks to see if I hear anything. My NOA1 is 10/21/09 and I'm surprised I haven't heard anything either. Hopefully we all will hear something soon!

Thanks teknikel. I will wait wait another 2 weeks. Friend of mine told me about contacting my congressman. I will do that next month.

Hello ! I am the late Sep filer still waiting :(! I called almost everyday from Mon to Thurs this week and could not get any better. I've just been touched like crazy, it's nearly 8 touchs already. The officer told me that I have to wait another 30 days to have any act in my case. I could not stay calm any more coz many and many filers after me got approval. The process going on in CSC seem to be unfair for us.

09/23/2009 - Sent I-130 For My Parents to Chicago Lockbox.

09/25/2009 - USCIS received I-130.

09/30/2009 - Received NOA1

02/01/2010 - Touch.

02/02/2010 - both my parents got Touch.

02/03/2010 - Touch.

02/16/2010 - email approved for Mom's case.

02/18/2010 - email approved for Dad's case.

02/20/2010 - hard copy NOA2 for Mom.

Completed with USCIS

NVC

02/25/2010 - got case's assigned NVC numbers for both parent.

03/02/2010 - received AOS and DS 3032 packet in email.

03/02/2010 - paid AOS fee and sent DS 3032 by email.

03/04/2010 - received accepted letter for DS 3032 in email.

03/05/2010 - received IV packet's fee letter in email.

03/05/2010 - paid IV packet's fee.

I sent in my mothers I-130 and received NOA1 on 10/6 frm CSC. I am from Zimbabwe by the way.

I haven't even received a touch.

I really wanted to go to Zimbabwe when my mom had her interview as I havent been in over 2 years, and it really seems that the later they push this the more unlikely that will be in terms of work pressure.

You get some people that take 2 months in Vermont to some of us who take 4 months and counting without a touch.

LOL, im sure someone has said this before but i'll just say it again - HOW ABOUT SOME CONSISTENCY??

I check my email almost obsessively every morning, and then the USCIS website for touches...

Maybe someone who has had a long wait can tell me what ZEN techniques they used while they were waiting?
