Case completed as per AVR on 12/18, haven't got any email from NVC yet about case completed or interview date? but hopefully next week.

As my case completed on 12/18, is there any time frame to received interview date email? or its random.... I see other time lines showing within 15 days right?

Call NVC and ask them about your case status. If your case reached NVC then they will assign Case Numbers to your case and then you can give Petitioners Email and Beneficiaries email and the communication is through email from them. You will get emails about AOS Fee and DS-3032 agent form. Is the 797 you received is the Receipt for your I-130 or did you receive receipt notice after Sep 03 and before Sep 24 th. If so then your case finished very very fast. Good LUck with the rest of the process.

Congrats to everyone for not having to deal with NVC anymore!

Experts, here's my deal:

My mom's I-130 was received on Sept. 03 of this year.

On Sept. 24th I received the I-797 saying that the application was approved.

Since then, I haven't heard anything back from NVC.

I did check my case status using the receipt number in the I-797 and it's "INITIAL REVIEW"

I know I have to send the I-864 but do I just wait until they contact me?

I guess my question is: am I supposed to do something before I can proceed to the next step?

Congrats again your case completion and you should expect to receive an email in regards to Interview during 1st week of Jan'10 for the Interview Date in Feb 2010. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

Check Mumbai US Consulate web site for the Feb'10 dates if they have posted ....they will do in the first week of Jan.

Hi Raj, they just have for Jan 2010 yet. I will keep checking for Feb 2010. But as looking your time line I think I will get interview on 2nd week of Feb,2010. Thanks for all your help.

Congratulations for that case completion smithjohnatpa , as you can see on my timeline I waited almost 2 weeks for my daughters interview email notice, but I have learned that it also depends on the embassy/consulate, so try to be patience, u will have yours very soon.

Thanks Raj. I called NVC yesterday and registered both email addresses but still haven't received the AOS fee email and DS-3032 form.

I'm assuming I should be getting it in few days or so..

It will take few days, in my case it took 4 days to receive AOS Fee email and DS-3032 email after registering emails with NVC. Check my signature for timelines and others too to get an idea..............

Hi Raj, I actually received two emails today. The first was the DS-3032 form, so I went ahead and used the DS-3032 email template and sent it from my mom's email address.

Then 15 minutes later, I got another email with the AOS fee and and the DS-3032 again.

Should I just pay the $70 and wait for the DS-3032 email confirmation?

Go ahead and pay the AOS Fee. Once the AOS Fee status changes to PAID, Print the Document Cover Sheet and send it along with I-864 (affidavit of Support) along with other required documents for I-864.

You do not have to wait for the DS-3032 email confirmation.

Also mail(snail mail) the DS-3032 that you sent via email. Print the email that you sent(DS-3032) and on the top of the page write the NVC Case Number and mail(snail mail) it to NVC. All of us did the same......this way they will have both.....

Do my parents have to pay any fee or do anything else beside showing up at the interview with documents? They already had medical exam.

Hoorraayyy finally got email for interview dates it is scheduled on 02/22/2010... almost 90% journey is over... Thanks to all for answering my question and guide me through.
