yes dont pay until email, and you will get it in 1-2 days max. might be 2night.

my ds-3032 was accepted and i got the email saying so and that my IV was generated but a couple of you are here said that don't pay until i recieved the IV bill. how long after does that usually take to recieve the bill from the email?

08/27/2009: Sent I-130 for IR5

09/12/2009: Received NOA1

10/02/2009: Received NOA2

10/12/2009: DS3032 sent by email

10/22/2008: I864 sent

10/26/2009: DS3032 accepted

10/29/2009: IV bill generated got email and PAID

11/04/2009: Got checklist email for DS230

12/01/2009: (needed some time to collect documents so here it got some delayed) Sent DS230

12/04/2009: DS230 delivered

12/08/2009: DS230 Received Updated AVR

12/15/2009: Login failed

12/18/2009: Case completed as per AVR - no email yet for interview date

12/28/2009: Got Interview schedule email - Scheduled on 02/22/2010 (hoorrayyy)

01/25/2010: Medical Appointment

01/25/2010: Medical Done

02/22/2010: Interview Done - Visa issued.

05/20/2010: US Entry - Washington DC IAD.

06/10/2010: Received Welcome Notice from USCIS

No, pay the bill. Wait for it to clear. Print out the barcoded cover sheet. And send in your DS230 package. No need to wait for NVC to send you any thing.

In a couple of days

Kassyrose,

You should get IV Fee Bill in a day or two and DO NOT PAY until you receive IV Fee Bill Email. Couple of guys out here did pay before the IV Fee Bill generated and they had to call NVC operators to fix the issue. Hope this helps...

Any September/ October I-130 applicants that received NOA-2 yet????

I am beginning to get worried. I haven't received NOA 2 for my mom. Based on most of your time frames, you get NOA2 (approval) with in 8-10 weeks.

Patience is a virtue.... so I need to stop complaining!

Hi Export

From what we were told, the envelope returned at the Embassy contains X-Rays which should be carried in handluggage. Ours was open and it is not needed to be sealed.

When the passport is returned you also get a large brown envelope containing your documents such as the DS230 etc. THIS one should NOT be opened. It is handed to the officer at the POE and they enter the details onto the computer. This envelope will be covered in text saying do not open.

Have no idea what the photo comment means. I have heard nothing about taking photos to POE.

09/18/2009: Case completed by NVC

09/24/2009: Appointment Cover Letter came in via email from NVC: INTERVIEW DATE 10/19/2009

10/19/2009: BLUE => requesting additional documents, i.e. my mother's resume

11/07/2009: Additional documents sent to Guangzhou Consulate via EMS

11/23/2009: Call-in letter sent by Guangzhou Consulate according to DoS

11/27/2009: Call-in letter received

11/30/2009: Returned to Guangzhou Consulate

12/01/2009: RED!!!

12/09/2009: Mother picked up her visa package!!! :-D

01/22/2010: POE (SFO)

02/05/2010: GREEN CARD ARRIVED - exactly 2 weeks after entering the US!!! :-D

02/06/2010: Welcome letter arrived (surprisingly, 1 day later than green card ;-) )

Guys! I need your help. As my daughter case was complete and we already get her interview date.

I look at the e-mail appointment letter and they told you about the document they need on that day.

Can somebody told me which document we need on that day?

I sent original custody paper along with translation to them but they said on this

"The applicant has informed the NVC that the required document is unavailable." Why?

It may be nothing. On our list it asked for our daughters Adoption Certificates. She is not adopted!

I spoke to the NVC and they said that it often happens that someone ticks a wrong box. But we still went prepared with a letter from our daughter confirming that she was not adopted!

I suggest you call the NVC and ask them I actually phoned them three times 'just to make sure'.

Be prepared anyway, take a copy if you have one.

Ask Tayrivers about this, she may be able to help further.

Richard......It's really make me worry about that because I don't want to west my time for visa anymore.

My husband and I really upset about the interview date because somebody told me it's fast but it's not.

We plan to take her to Disney World , FL on Chistmas but she can't because of NVC set the appointment on JAN.

Anyway we really want to go back as soon as possible. I wish you can make it before Chistmas.

Pook, as richard has already said it could be that the wrong box was checked. All you need to do it make sure you have a copy of the custody papers with you when you go for the interview.

Once NVC forward your case to the Embassy/Consulate they can not accept any other documents so there would be no point in sending it to them.

I am sorry that you are having to wait until Jan for your interview, This whole process is so frustrating all we can do is to keep strong and we will be rewarded when our loved ones eventually arrive in the US.
