Hi Tigerinroc,

How did you know your case was sent to HCM, VIETNAM because the tracking no started with 88xxxxx? where did you look to find your case no? Please advise because I'm anxious to see if my parents' cases are being sent there too...AVR said my case was completed on Dec 03.

Thanks.

Tiger, reading some posts I noticed that some VJ'rs made their track just after they were notified (per mail and/or OP) that their case had left NVC and /or had an interview letter. I havent called but I will today after work and ask to an OP and see if they have any update. Anyway if these packages aren't ours hope that ours can be the next ones.

Good question!

My parents cases were completed on 12/4 so i assumed the DHL shipment on that day should include my parents cases, if not my parents cases only. The assuption was made from what I read about case completion & DHL shipment.

If your cases were completed on 12/03, try "ExP 02 dec 2009a".

Who knows if our cases are traveling together !!!

Hi Tigerinroc,

You might be right that our cases might travel together :-) I checked EXP 02 DEC but there was no shipment out of NVC to HCM. There was one going out on 12/04 to HCM but that package weighed only 2 lbs. There was a package shipped out today to HCM weigh 6 lbs. You and I sponsored for both our parents, so that might explain the 2 cases going to HCM in a single package...

Cheers!

I was wrong. Just talked to an NVC operator & she said cases are not mailed to the consulates until interviews are scheduled. So it looks like my cases are still at the NVC.

No problem Tigerinroc :star: I was reading some posts and realized the same, I was going to talk to an operator this afternoon after work bot you save me the call. For sure sooner or later our cases will be traveling to their respective consulates. Meanwhile lets keep celebrating that our cases and Domi's 22 are completed

My father just had his interview and got his visa. Thank you ALL for your help/advice/suggestions. It was definitely nice to be able stay on top of things throughout the process.

Now I have a few questions:

After the interview, my father was given an envelope containing medical docs - however the envelope was not sealed. The day after, when he got his passport back with IV, he was given another packet, with instructions, which was sealed. My question is, how many packets or envelopes are you supposed to get? Is the envelope with medical papers supposed to be sealed?

2. Feliz mentioned something about photos at the port of entry. I didn't see anywhere in the instructions that he is supposed to bring photos with him. Am I missing something?

3. What's in the sealed packet that people usually get?

Thank you so much!!

Hi Export

From what we were told, the envelope returned at the Embassy contains X-Rays which should be carried in handluggage. Ours was open and it is not needed to be sealed.

When the passport is returned you also get a large brown envelope containing your documents such as the DS230 etc. THIS one should NOT be opened. It is handed to the officer at the POE and they enter the details onto the computer. This envelope will be covered in text saying do not open.

Have no idea what the photo comment means. I have heard nothing about taking photos to POE.

And incidentally.... Congratulations!

Best wishes

Richard
