Raj,

Did you specify on the I-130 form what consulate you want to get the interview from? My mother in law is from Delhi and she will be getting the interview after the NVC process. The question on the form is confusing. Did you actually put down Chennai Consulate on the form? I put down as N/A/ in that question. Should I call USCIS to update my I-130 with the consulate name? Please advise.

An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S.

Embassy/Consulate in MANILA on January 8, 2010 at 08:30 am.

Is it really like that? the completion email and interview schedule are in the same notice?

Yes, i did put Chennai since my city falls under Chennai Consulate even though Hyderabad has one. You can call and talk to an operator about the same and probably they will help you.

Once DS-3032 is accepted then you will get an IV Fee Bill Email (it will not say that DS-3032 is accpeted but this implies that it is accepted/approved) but you will not get an email in regards to approved I-864 (AOS).

Note: On the payment site you will see the IV Fee Bill enabled once DS-3032 is entered into NVC system ( but do not pay until you receive IV Fee Bill Email ). Hope this helps.

Yeah that help a lot. thanks. though i need to talk to an operator because it been almost three weeks since i email and mail the ds-3032 form yet they got ny AOS for before all that(and i sent the I-864 to them last week).

it was not on the DS230 but on the I-130 form application. If you remember on page 2 where it mentions when the relative is not eligible to adjust status,he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the American Consular post in xx (city) xx (country). This is if the relative is not in the US yet and is applying for it.

Ahh I see that, but I put N/A on that field. so now Do I need to call NVC and let them know the consulate Name or it will be automatically taken using Case Number BMB....? (My parents never came to US before so I was not able to apply for ADJ of status still do I need to fill those questions in I 130?
