Spouse from Canada to US

I am a US citizen. My job transfered me to Canada around 3 years ago. 2 1/2 years ago I met the girl that is my wife now. I got transfered back to the states in January. I talked to a company appointed lawyer, and he said the fastest and easiest way to get her here and able to work and live legally was to have her come down and we get married here in the states and then file all of the paperwork. Well, we did that, and now my job wont pay for us to use the lawyer (cutbacks). Long story short, I dont know what forms we need to get and fill out. Can someone PLEASE help us. We are now married and living in the states, but we want everything to be legal. Any input helps.

You were Married in Canada? And then again in USA?

My Situation is Similar,

Moved to Canada, got Married

Moved back to US, and have submitted the I-130 Package

You may have to go through the same process? This may be the cheapest route, but My wife is unable to live with me here until the process is complete.

I don't know why you had to get Married again in the US?

Then file an I-130 for a spousal visa, and do not overstay current entry to the USA.

She can come down as a tourist without a visa. You can get married and the file the I-130. She CANNOT stay with you for the duration of the process. She must leave and complete the process with an interview in Montreal
