I am a US citizen. My job transfered me to Canada around 3 years ago. 2 1/2 years ago I met the girl that is my wife now. I got transfered back to the states in January. I talked to a company appointed lawyer, and he said the fastest and easiest way to get her here and able to work and live legally was to have her come down and we get married here in the states and then file all of the paperwork. Well, we did that, and now my job wont pay for us to use the lawyer (cutbacks). Long story short, I dont know what forms we need to get and fill out. Can someone PLEASE help us. We are now married and living in the states, but we want everything to be legal. Any input helps.

Thanks

Start with the guides, they are very helpful. Then if you still need assistance, come back and ask, may helpful folks here. Is that company lawyer a Immigration lawyer???? If not, I would speak to one.

Thanks. Yes he is an immigration lawyer.

The filing is easy, not hard at all. The guides will tell you so much, always post if still unsure about something.

For forms you need to print a I-130 petition and 2 sets of the G-325A forms, each G325A form is 4 pages, one filled out by you and the other by your wife. That should get you started, but read read read. Good luck!!
