Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

So, this morning I get two e-mails from the NVC. One is for the K-3 saying it was assigned a case number and I will be notified when it goes to the embassy. ( all the embassy info was listed)

and the other e-mail was saying that the I-130 was received but is not assigned a case number yet...

Nice of them to let me know, huh?

You are making progress @ NVC - nice of them to keep you in the loop (I guess they don't want you calling them :P)

Now that NVC is going green maybe they can get updates to people faster and keep them more informed. From the progress I'm reading about today (since yesterday) maybe they are also workiong out the kinks in the system!!

Jen, Hope your case goes out today! See I told you would be over and done before I got approved at VSC.

I think I'm going to call today b/c

1. It still says my I-129F doesn't exist.

2. There has been no acknowledgement of the typo letter I sent weeks ago.
