Okay... when I first joined this website, I remember reading posts where people said there was somewhere on VJ where you could find like a checklist or guide to make a small portfolio (I dunno what term they used exactly) to bring in on the day of the interview. This is where all the extra documents are brought in on the day of the interview to show proof of a bonafide relationship & it also includes a copy of all the other required forms just in case. I remember people talking about separating each section with tabs. :) Does anyone know what I mean??? I was wondering if someone can tell me where I can find a link that will help us. I'd REALLY appreciate your help in this. As always... thanks in advance for ALL YOUR HELP! :D You guys don't know just how much I appreciate your help. Hope all of you are having a blessed day! :D God bless!!! :D Edited by inGODShands

You are talking about his interview right? H took the originals of all these documents: birth certificate, divorce papers, military papers, and passport. They kept all of them but returned them to him with the Visa.

He took some photos from my most recent trip to Egypt, (I had already sent photos with the I129 app of previous trips). He took a copy of my mileage points (print out from my page on Lufthansa) showing ALL of my trips to Egypt... He also took a copy of my boarding passes from the last trip. However they BARELY looked at the photos and didn't EVEN look at the boarding passes, or the mileage stuff...

I had sent him a 2nd copy of my I134 Affadavit of Support in case they lost it or something (everything else he could have redone on his own, and I had sent him a 2nd copy of those documents as well but he never needed them).

I don't think he took anything else. The wait was 4 hours, the interview was 4 minutes...

Good luck!

i dont believe that you need to send the USC's passport. my UKC will have a copy of my passport with him, and he will of course bring his passport to the interview, but an original passport for the USC is not required (at least at the london embassy).

edit: PB&JAM, you may want to check out this thread in the UK forum.

I can't speak for requirements in the UK, but the Embassy in Cairo advised me that they did NOT NEED ANYTHING from ME for his K-1 Interview, except the completed, signed and notarized I134. All of my documentation was provided in the I129 application process, so they did not need any of it. This was a great relief to me as I hated the idea of sending enough information/documents half way around the world for someone to totally steal my identity. The embassy in Egypt was not making determinations about my status, because that was already done before they got his file... by the approval of the I129.

I don't want to presume it's the same in the UK, so best to check with them. Good luck!
