First time...

My fiance and I are getting married next month. I am 3 months pregnant and flying to the US in June for the October delivery. We are processing the K-3 visa in May as soon as the marriage certificate arrives.

Is there any visa (bridging or tourist) that would allow my fiance to come to the US from Australia for the baby's birth? We have heard the k3 and CR1 visas takes 6 months or more and we would hate for him to miss the baby's birth.

Thank you for any advice!

Congradulations on the baby. My wife and I just had a baby boy February 16 of this year. However because she is a citizen of the Philippines - our only choice is to wait for the K-3/CR1. If you check out this link http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/....html#countries it says that Australia is a member of the visa waiver program. This would allow your fiance to travel to the USA without a visa for up to 90 days. He would need to go home after that so as not to violate US Immigration law. However, he might be able to come right back for another 90 day stay. You could also apply for a tourist Visa for a 6 month stay - don't know how tricky that gets. Anyways - he should be able to join you for the delivery.

you can file for the k3 visa that take only 6 month with sending 1-130 first and when you get the receipe letter NOA1 you can file for I-129F that make the processe faster he can stay home and save money if he file for tourist visa that well make him a probleme so i tell him stay hom wait 6 month r 5 and get ready with your wife for the other steps .

It's likely the Australian Fiance could simply come for a visit on the VWP and then return to Australia for the spouse visa interview. I suggest following the CR1 visa path rather than the K3 at this time.

I take it you, the expectant mother, are the US Citizen?
