yes..my petitioner is my husband of 1 year and 5 months already. His lawyer sent me a DS 230 form just 2 days ago and he told my husband that I should have a passport in my maiden name, since the approved paper was in my maiden name.I changed my passport to my married name just a month ago,thinking that It will not create trouble anyway I have been married for over a year already.I never thought this would happen.

My husband filed k1/k3 just last march of 2008..after we got married on November of 2007.But, I filled up a form july of 2007,it was supposed to be a fiancee,then we got married november same year.The lawyer work on the k1 and k3 at the same time.Just a month ago we received NOA1 and NOA2 approval. I then received a letter of confirmation from the embassy that I can call the embassy anytime for my schedule.

The problem now is they want me to changed back my passport to my maiden name..I am not so sure about this if it's possible. It gives me sleepless nights already.. Although,I still have the old passport,only it's not valid for travel anymore after I got a new one using my married name.

:help::crying::hehe:

to olddominion and walls1010..thanks for the advice I appreciated it much...hopefully i'll get over this problem...I believe God is with us..

Take care!

:blush:

Don't stress your self, remember that some form you're going to fill out, there's a question like "other name used (include maiden name)" and beside in your marriage certificate showed your maiden name, and being marriage it is normal to use your married name, like i said in my previous opinion, you can correct/request to the IO that you are using in your passport your married name.
