Related to the "Since When" Topic - Ignoring Users

First off, just a preemptive apology if this has already been discussed. I did a forum search, but didn't find anything.

In the Since When thread I noticed that the suggestion of ignoring a user was raised, which I do think this is a good solution to some issues between members. I actually went to ignore someone for the first time today and I had to dig around to find where the ignore function was located. I personally don't find it to be in an intuitive place and would guess that some newer users don't even know that it is available.

Perhaps putting the option in a more centralized spot - such as the drop-down menu when you click on a user's name in the forums, near to the place where you can "Add as a Friend".

I can add an "easier to click" link to every post people make. That will make it easier to "ignore" people if you choose.

Btw thanks for pointing this out. The hyperlink on that page made it a snap for me to figure out how to integrate it into the topic view page .

Thanks Marilyn. I did look there at first, but obviously missed it, so I thought the only way to ignore someone was by going through "My Controls".

I added it to the drop down for all members in their posts (click on their name for the drop down).

I'd just like to add this....

If you are going to ignore someone, you cannot send PM's to them either.
