I guess it is difficult, but .... it would be nice to make it..... How are you suppose to make wedding plans if you do not even know when you can get married?

I was also reviewing the cost:

455 the first application

320 for the embassy

180 for medical exam

plus fedexing

plus I485 of about 1000....

And all this takes like 3 years........and after you are done, the gov will know even at what time of the day you like to take number 2.......

Thinking about all the above makes me realize that I really love her :)

this is really stressful.

i'd say unlikely; however, not impossible. i'm not setting a date until visa is in hand. look around at timelines and you will see that less than 6 months from NOA1-wedding is not going to happen. plan things that don't require a date...i have my dress...cake...chose a church, etc. the rest just has to wait when you choose a foreign spouse. good luck! :star:

this is really stressful. Yes it is...good to know you're not alone though...

The 09/09/09 date is possible but I wouldn't make big wedding ceremony plans around it since it'd probably be too close to call. We managed to hit 07.07.07 though.. so we understand the whole number thing

It's funny, I just had to chime in, that is our planned wedding date, 090909, but I am getting married in my fiance's country. Good luck, though

I'm sorry to say but it's a small chance but good luck and what a cool wedding date if it happens!

Thanks for the reply and support.

I have most of the documentation for the interview ready. I plan to have the medical exam soon as well. So I will try to minimize the turnaround time from packet 3 to interview.

But as you suggested, it is very unlikely. I will keep you posted.

By the way in asia is 9 a bad luck number, I remember that 8 was the good luck number. I heard something like people pay to get an 8 on their license plates.

Another interesting number would be 789 too early too....

Actually, the bad number in Asia would be 4 as the 4 stands for death (in many languages it almost sounds like that word). The 9 could be considered a bad number in western countries though as it is considered by many people to be the number of the devil.. you might think 6 is that, and that is true, but hey, try and turn the number 6 around and see what you get and thats why a lot of people have the same about the 9 as they have with the 6..

Nah, if I was the topicstarter, I would wait until October 20, 2010.. you will get 10/20/2010 then, or 20/10/2010 depending on your preference lol. That is something we will do... we're already married but we're planning to hold a bigger wedding (since this one had to be done quickly and without my family) and then on October 20, 2010 because of the numbers.. 08-08-08 was something we wanted also but, yeah, we were too late also with that.
