hi everybody,

i am algerian living in paris, i met my hubby in us, he is american citizen, we get married in pennsylvania and i was there with a visa B business, so after getting married, the lawyer gave us advise , i had to do the medical petition wich i did.

i had to leave us because my mother was sick, now she is past away and i can not go back to us so i have to wait for my 130 visa K3.

my question is : should we do the aplication by a lawyer to make the process faser ?

does any one have a similar experience ?

i am frustrated because it's to much for me to wait more than 6 months .

now i have no family, so what is the best way to get the visa K3 faster or expedied ???

thanks alot.

Sorry for your loss... (F)

Best advice would be to follow the CR-1/IR-1 Visa path - will cost you less in the long run and will enable you to obtain Permanent Resident status shortly after arrival in the US.

A lawyer can not make your case go faster. Sometimes they hinder, plus they cost alot. Your husband can do this himself without a lawyer. The processing centers have gotten faster, CSC especialy, and VSC Ive seen approval as early as 10 days, some 30 days, shocker. This is not a easy process especially being alone in a city, I know too very well of that feeling. Good luck dear.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
