Hi Everyone!!

My Fiance and I have not yet filed the K1 Visa but I'm on my way now preparing the documents we needed for the petition.

I just wanted to know of what documents I have to collect from here in Dubai, UAE (where I've been working for almost 2 years) before I leave for good and went back home because we are planning to file it from there.

Do I need to get Certificate of No Marriage from here in Dubai? Actually No UAE Official Government Section does have the said record, even the Phil Embassy, I'm planning it to get from Dubai Catholic Church just to have a proof that during my stay here I didnt get married. Do I still need to do that in the first place?

Thanks in Advance.

You need the Police Clearance from Dubai.

You will only get the Cenomar here from NSO i think not sure :hehe:

Good Luck! may you have a speedy VJ

You can get your CENOMAR when you are back in the Philippines( NSO ), you will need it during the interview and not a requirement to file the 129. You mentioned that you have been in DUbai for 2 years so make sure you get a Police Clearance before going home, you will also need that during the interview.

Look into the K1 guide here, it is very extensive and you will find all the information you need, especially what documents to submit together with the 129 petition.

Goodluck on the process.

hi ! You only need to bring along Police Certificate before heading back to pi for good coz my understanding is, one can only request for police clearance/certificate if you are currently a resident of dxb, uae and its usually valid for 3 months. You only need and can request Certificate of No Marriage at NSO,Pi. Like you, iam here in dxb and we have filed our I129F and it will be thru AD consul. Best of luck to us :)
