I will be leaving my job of five years to take another position in my field. I make well over the 125% poverty level guideline and will also meet the requirement with my new job. I also have my last three years of tax returns to verify this also. My question is will it be a problem that I will have only been on the current job a couple of months when the embassey reviews the I-134. Would it be wise to send a letter from my previous employer also verifying my five years of employment??

Ensure you include a letter from your current employer stating your salary, how long you have been working for them, your position, and if it's permanent/temporary.

*make sure it's on company stationary*

A letter from your former employer is irrelevant to this, they want to see current income, and length. Your past tax transcripts will show past income!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
