Hey guyz,

I am reviewing AOS and DS-230 forms. I've read on the RFE list that someone got RFE because they put N/A instead of None. This one tiny thing is freaking me out right now. How do you know when to put None or when to put N/A? Is there any simple set of rules I should follow?

08/28/2012 - NOA1 date
08/31/2012 - Received email from USCIS saying the package is accepted
09/11/2012 - Received a letter saying case transferred Lee's Summit, MO
02/15/2013 - Received an email saying case is approved
02/22/2013 - I-130 NOA2 hard copy received

NVC Journey
--------------
02/18/2013 - NVC received the case
03/11/2013 - NVC case # assigned
03/12/2013 - Petitioners' email corrected, Beneficiary's email added
03/13/2013 - DS3032 received
03/13/2013 - DS3032 email sent (was sent before the we received the DS3032)
03/13/2013 - AOS fee invoiced and Paid (shows In Progress)
03/14/2013 - AOS fee shows PAID
03/14/2013 - AOS package sent (overnight next-day delivery)
03/15/2013 - AOS package delivered to NVC on 03/15/2013 at 10:06:00
03/19/2013 - Re-sent DS-3032 email with Supervisor Review on subject
03/21/2013 - DS-3032 accepted
03/22/2013 - IV fee invoiced and paid
03/25/2013 - IV fee shows PAID
03/25/2013 - IV package sent (overnight next-day delivery)
03/26/2013 - IV package delivered to NVC on 03/26/2013 at 10:04am
03/27/2013 - AOS accepted
04/08/2013 - IV checklist found out by phone - NVC lost our marriage certificate sad.png
04/09/2013 - IV checklist email received
04/16/2013 - IV Checklist response mailed - new Marriage Certificate

04/16/2013 - Case Complete (they found our first marriage certificate during supervisor review??)
04/17/2013 - NVC received IV Checklist response
04/23/2013 - Case Complete email from NVC

05/13/2013 - Medical

06/03/2013 - Interview

When they ask you how many kids you have (while you don't have any) Answer NONE

When they ask you for your [ A ] number (while you don't have any) Answer N/A... Simple as that!

N/A is for Not Applicable or Not Available

it's just according to the Question... plus I don't really believe that someone got a RFE for that.

Most important thing is not to leave any blanks so they know you didn't miss the question.

I'm sure LOTS of people put N/A where NONE should be and vice versa. Sometimes to me it was questionable which to put at all!! :bonk:

I seemed have squeaked by all the processes and forms without a rejection or RFE.

I did make sure ALL blanks you could type in had something in them tho.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

NONE= I DONT =I DONT HAVE

N/A= DOESNT APPLY TO my status (if u r given options and none is woring for u of them and u have no other option to put by ur choice)

the example above is correct

if you dont have children so u state by NONE

but if they mentioned a number and tht doesnt apply to u ..and u cant put the correct number for example so u state N/A

02/17/2009: I-130 NOA2: Approved in 210 days from NOA1 date

I-129F (K-3):

08/11/2008: NOA1

02/17/2009: I-129F NOA2: Approved in 190 days from NOA1 date

<not pursuing I-129F petition further but NVC forwarded case to Consulate on 02/24/2009>

NVC Journey:

02/19/2009: NVC Received/Case number assigned for I-130

02/20/2009: DS-3032 sent by e-mail and 03/04/2009: DS-3032 sent by regular mail

02/26/2009: NVC received DS-3032 Choice of Agent selection

02/26/2009: DS-3032 accepted and AOS Bill Generated but not IV Bill

02/28/2009: AOS Bill Package received in mail

02/28/2009: Paid AOS Bill and IV Bill (as it was available) online
