Just wanted those who opt to pay by regular mail and a cashier's check that it took 15 days for our payment to be received and entered into the system. The bonus, was that we received a lovely 2 page PDF file from NVC stating that all fees were paid and with instructions for the next set of paperwork. Thanks to this site we have everything ready to mail off this afternoon.

Why didn't you pay online? your payment would take only two days to be accepted, instead of 15!! but thanks god you're done with that... few days and your case will be complete...

Well, if I was going to pay it; it would have been online but my husband chose to pay it by cashier's check and regular mail. Yes, it prolonged the process, but the end result will be the same.

ONLINE IS THE WAY TO GO!!! You pay the same day you recieve notification by email then it is accepted the next day and you can mail paperwork back the following day. Saves 2 weeks of time and you still get the lovely pdf email info!! and the barcoded coversheet is online waiting for you to slap it on top of your I-864 package.

OH ya, USPS overnight the I-864 and you save another 5 days. Oh ya, pay the $400 IV online too and save another 2 weeks... hey when you are all said and done you save 1-2 months....that is if you are in a hurry to see your sweetheart again like me!!

Paying by check or money order only delays the processing. Online is the way to go, if you want to speed through NVC!!!
